rhaenys had quickly changed out of her dress and made haste to go meet the starks and daenerys inside of jon's study. all rhaenys could think on her walk to the study was, 'what could possibly be so important that they could not have been told at the table at the feast?' she stood in front of the door for a moment. as she gripped the handle, she took a deep breath and pushed forward and walked in. there everyone stood in silence.

"now that everyone is all here, it is time to talk about our enemy." jon began. "cersei? that is what you gathered us all to talk about?" daenerys called out in irritation. she looked down at tyrion and tried to figure out why he would say that jon snow was their best option. "no, not that enemy. the army of the dead." jon said. daenerys and rhaenys turned their heads at each other in confusion. they didn't understand what he meant. "is that a figure of speech?" daenerys asked.

"the army of the dead is on the march." jon stated again. "just because you rephrased it, does not help our confusion." rhaenys finally spoke up. "the army of the dead?" tyrion added with a hint of sarcasm.

"the army of the dead is real. the white walkers are real. the night king is real. i've seen them. if they get past the wall and we're squabbling amongst ourselves..." he paused and walked closer to the table that held all the chess pieces with all the houses on them. "...we're finished."

"i was born at dragonstone. not that i can remember it. we fled before robert's assassins could find us." daenerys started as she began to slowly walk closer to the table. "robert was your father's best friend, no? i wonder if your father knew his best friend sent assassins to murder a baby girl in her crib and a young girl in her nursery with her baby brother in his own crib. but it is not as if any of that matters now of course. we have spent our lives in foreign lands. so many men have tried to kill us. we do not even try to remember all of their names. i have been sold like a broodmare. we have been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. do you know what kept us standing through all those years in exile? faith. not in any gods. not in myths and legends. in ourselves. in daenerys targaryen and in rhaenys targaryen. the world hadn't seen a dragon in centuries until our children were born. the dothraki hadn't crossed the sea. any sea." daenerys lectured as she finally made her way to where she stood up to jon and looked up at him. "they did for the both of us. i was born to rule the seven kingdoms with rhaenys by my side. and i will. we will."

"you will be ruling over a graveyard if we do not defeat the night king." jon fought back and he wasn't going to stand down any time soon. "the war against my sister has already begun. you can't expect us to halt hostilities and join you in fighting..." tyrion pauses trying to think, "...whatever you saw beyond the wall."

"you don't believe him. i understand that. it sounds like nonsense." sansa interjected the childish fight and jon nodded his head in agreement. "but if destiny has brought the last targaryens to our shores, it also made jon snow king in the north. you were the first to bring dothraki to westeros. he was the first to make allies with wildlings and northmen. he was named lord commander of the night's watch. he was named king in the north. not because of his birthright. he has no birthright. he is a bastard. all those men chose him as their leader because they believe in him." sansa defended her brother. if a younger version of sansa could see herself now, she would be in disbelief, for various reasons if she were being honest with herself. "all those things you don't believe in, he faced those things. he fought those things for the good of his people. he risked his life for his people. he took a knife in the heart for his people. he gave his own..." jon looks at sansa to cut her off and she stops talking at his request. daenerys, tyrion, and rhaenys exchange glances.

"if we do not put aside our enmities and band together we will die. and then it does not even matter whose skeleton sits on the iron throne." sansa ended her plea. "we need to prepare our people for what's coming. and i say our people. if you want to rule and be queen of the seven kingdoms, then all the people are your people. you have to help defend them." jon added.

"it seems unlikely that you became king in the north by giving up that easily." tyrion quipped.

"we also need dragonglass. there is a tremendous amount of it in dragonstone or under it. it can be forged into weapons that kill white walkers and destroy them." if jon snow wasn't already asking for a lot, he was then at that moment. "so you mean to say that you would send people to dragonstone and mine this magical glass and then forge it into weapons? what makes this glass so special?" daenerys asked.

"we're unsure but men at the wall have used small amounts of dragonglass that was found and valyrian steel to fight the white walkers and it has stopped them completely. they don't reanimate when they have been killed with it." jon said.

"if we agree to this, you and the north bend the knee to house targaryen. i'm not going to let cersei stay on the iron throne any longer. you will aid us. i will allow you to mine the dragonglass in dragonstone and forge what weapons are needed from it. any resources or men you need i will provide for you. the wedding will be held within the week." daenerys concluded and walked out of the room leaving everyone else in the room looking at each other.
