wooyoung had so much to say that he didn't want to speak at all.
with a resigned sigh, he put on his cap and walked past san, who was gawking at him from behind the counter in front of yeonjin. wooyoung didn't even give him a glance, his rage boiling over as he exited the music store. the gentle chime of the door closing behind him seemed to punctuate his silent rage, and he quickened his pace, the familiar streets blurring as he concentrated on getting away from the confusing situation he had left behind.
lying about having work to do and then arriving at another location in sweatpants and a cosy t-shirt, looking as if he hadn't worked a single hour that day? wooyoung scoffed to himself. every change in san's attitude left him with the same feeling: frustration. why was he running away from him after asking for his phone number? was the man bipolar, or did he have three personalities within him? wooyoung couldn't understand.
overcome by annoyance, wooyoung hurried along the pavements, drowning out the sound of approaching footsteps.
before he could acknowledge his surroundings, san was standing in front of him, steadying him by the shoulders to hold him from crashing into him or walking any further.
the unexpected contact sent a jolt through him, a spark that temporarily confused his simmering anger. the overwhelming scent of his cologne struck wooyoung as he stared at the man who was single-handedly spinning wooyoung's life out of control.
but before san could open his mouth to defend himself, the words that wooyoung had withheld spilled out.
"what's your deal?" he shoved san's hands away from him and crossed his arms. "you asked for my phone number, and now you're running away from me. who would lie about something like this? do you see how ridiculous this is?" wooyoung huffed in sardonic amusement, "saying it with my own mouth sounds even more ridiculous. you know what? you're a real pain in the—"
"i'm sorry," san cut in.
wooyoung remained silent, his jaw still locked tightly.
every fibre of his being wanted to storm out or even scream at san for his unpredictable behaviour. but a sliver of curiosity, a tiny seed of it, kept him rooted in place. perhaps it was the genuineness that shone through his deep brown eyes.
after a long period of staring at each other, wooyoung relaxed his shoulders. "and what's with the animal videos?" he mumbled, "i really don't understand you."
san seemed to notice his more relaxed tone, and he let out a childish laugh. his playful spirit had returned in an instant.
"what do you mean?" he looked at him with innocent eyes, "they're adorable."
"you're unbelievable, you know that?"
wooyoung walked past him, shaking his head. all of his anger from just a few moments ago had disappeared, even though he still hadn't received answers to any of his questions—season 2 of lumi's lullaby, or why san kept running away from him. at least he knew which side of san he disliked the least. obviously, it was his playful side, which wooyoung had grown accustomed to.
