Sakakura hadn't exactly accounted for the fact that there could have been explosions when he had told Naegi to destroy the controller. All the Monokumas self destructed the moment the controller had been snapped in half. Fortunately, few people had died from the explosions after the fact but there was still the fact that many people had died from the Monokumas from the short time that they had been activated. The explosions had caused the building to collapse though and finding a way out of the building had proved to be difficult. The fact that they had a child who needed to be hospitalized immediately and a man who was still recovering from a serious injury to get out didn't help matters.

Naegi had suggested that Sakakura leave them behind to take Monaca to the hospital so she could recieve immediate treatment, given that Sakakura was the most capable of carrying a child if need be. Sakakura had punched him for suggesting that he leave behind Munakata but he did end up doing just that, as much as he disliked the idea, especially considering Munakata's injury. Munakata had reassured Sakakura that he'd be fine multiple times. There hadn't been much room to argue given that Monaca's injury was pretty serious, especially for a child to endure.

After everything, Sakakura was truly exhausted. Sure, they had the difficult stuff out of the way now but now they had to deal with the aftermath of it all.

As one could expect, the entire debacle made the news. Sakakura, Munakata, and Naegi were all harassed by news reporters wanting to know every little detail. It got to a point to where Sakakura started hitting them to get them to be leave him alone and even Munakata, who usually didn't resort to violence in situations that didn't relate to serious matters, was striking reporters who weren't leaving him alone.

Of course, Naegi couldn't bring himself to do such a thing so Maizono often went with him places to help pull him away from those situations, as she had some more experience with it.

The Steering Committee had also been arrested recently so naturally, there was a lot of buzz around that as well. At least things were looking up though now, even if there was still a lot more to deal with because of Junko Enoshima. Mukuro Ikusaba had also been charged and was put behind bars for her involvement. Ryota Mitarai had faced suspension for his involvement, though the headmaster took pity on him considering the fact that Mitarai had been blackmailed. Still though, Jin did have to punish Mitarai for that. Hinata was a complicated case and Jin was having trouble figuring out what to do with him. In the meantime though, Jin decided to let Hinata be in the reserve course so he could stay with Nanami. Jin was pissed that his daughter had been involved but he did forgive Kizakura, given that Kizakura was there to protect her. A lot had happened between defeating Junko Enoshima and defeating Monaca Towa.

Trying to catch up on what all was happening was especially suffocating for Munakata, as he had been hospitalized and asleep while a lot had been going on.

Tengan was a bit irritated that Munakata had left the hospital in spite of his injury, but he didn't give Munakata too much crap for it given that Sakakura would have died if not for Munakata deciding to leave against everyone else's advice. Munakata didn't go back to the hospital because he really didn't want to go back to those beds. Sakakura decided to stay with him to make sure he was safe.

Even though he had a lot to catch up on, Munakata was incredibly happy. The crisis had been narrowly averted and he still had a loyal ally, who had been developing feelings for, by his side. Living together was something that felt very strange to them at first but both of them were growing to be very comfortable with it very quickly.

Now that the plots to destroy humanity had been ruined, they could finally have conversations about other things.

Munakata sat down at the table, in front of Sakakura, and asked, "Can we talk?"
