Miaya Gekkogohara, the former ultimate therapist and a former classmate of Munakata's, had proposed the idea of the Neo World Program, a program designed to restore hope in individuals who had fallen to despair. She had worked on the project alongside Chihiro Fujisaki and Chiaki Nanami. Given Yukizome's condition and the fact that the program had been developed by a classmate of theirs, Munakata and Sakakura agreed to have Yukizome undergo the hope restoration program. Tsumiki had faced an ultimatum: partake in the hope restoration plan or be expelled from Hope's Peak Academy. She opted for the former option.

Despite being a busy man, Munakata insisted upon taking over Yukizome's class in her absence. Understandably, her students were distraught by her condition but had quickly warmed up to the cold man. They all shared grief regarding Yukizome but also they remembered happy memories. Though it wasn't the same, having a teacher who understood their sadness certainly helped things and they found certain qualities in Munakata that they liked. Sure, he wasn't as bubbly and cheerful as Yukizome, but the man did have incredibly powerful motivational speeches.

When Munakata took Yukizome's position, Sakakura had insisted upon taking over some aspects of the oversees project because he could see that while his boyfriend was incredibly happy, his boyfriend was also beginning to grow stressed with the workload. Munakata could handle insane work loads but he wasn't superhuman. Of course, Sakakura still followed Munakata's orders as per usual and consulted Munakata over every major decision but he managed the day to day stuff and saw to it that Munakata's vision was becoming reality. Sakakura would give anything, including his life if he had to, to guarantee that Munakata had everything he could ever want.

The Steering Committee had a trial date scheduled and the media was livid with them. Of course, for a juicier story, reporters had managed to dig up a lot of information that the academy tried it's best to hide. In the end though, things surprisingly worked out in favor of the headmaster, as the media's anger was rightfully directed to the Steering Committee.

All of the students, with the big contributors being Celestia, Sonia, Komaeda, Hinata and Togami, had all joined together to pay for the oversees project as well as the destruction of the statue, to ensure nothing like what had happened would ever happen again. Nanami even held a big gaming tournament to broadcast to help rake in funds.

Mioda and Maizono joined together for a concert to help fund the cause, although their styles clashed a bit. They managed to make it work by having Maizono work out the lyrics and sing while Mioda focused on playing the guitar. Saionji created a dance for the strange mashup concert. Kuwata asked if he could partake in singing as well, and Maizono eventually agreed. The end result was that there was some beautiful soft singing mixed with screaming, a baseball star singing a repetitive melody for a large audience, a crazy musician playing a guitar shooting out flames, all while there was a group of people doing a traditional dance. The world found out that Maizono could do a metal scream surprisingly well. Though people were baffled by the confusing concert, they loved it anyways and it became a big hit. To be fair, Komaeda and Naegi did join in on the dance and the world ate that up, which probably had something to do with how weirdly good their luck was. Somehow Mioda managed to gradually convince all of her classmates, as well as all of Maizono's classmates, to join them on the stage and join in on the dance. She even repeatedly pestered Munakata and the headmaster to join, though they always politely declined. But of course, in the end even they were  swayed when all of the students chanted for them to join, which then got the audience riled up and they chanted for them to. So they did end up joining the students on the stage in the end.

After they were done performing, Yukizome's students begged and encouraged Munakata to give a motivational speech. He had grown a soft spot for the kids deep down, just as Yukizome had, and they didn't need to twist his arm all that much to get him to do it.
