Ninjago City buzzed with the vibrant glow of countless red lanterns adorning every corner, accompanied by lively parades and a myriad of festive activities to usher in the new year with exuberance and joyous celebration.
Meanwhile, In Chen's Noodle House, Ronin is sitting by the counter, waiting for his food, his Aeroblade is right beside him and so is his hat. He flicks his gaze towards the TV, as a news reporter speaks "Season of change is almost to an end. And residents of Ninjago eagerly await to celebrate tonight's New Year Festival," Ronin had a half-smile, Half-frown, on his face, and then a lady behind the counter walked up to him and placed his food down.
Scarlet flowing hair that transitions from red at the top to black at the tips, slender and tall body shape, hazel eyes...Skylor Chen.
"Hard to believe you don't have any friends to usher in the New Year," She said, Ronin glanced up at her "Let's just say I'm good at making friends, just not keeping them," he responded
Skylor scoffed a little, "Huh. Even a friend who spoils the party every once in a while is still a better friend than someone who stays," She says, her eyes gaze upon Ronin's Aeroblade, which he puts away. "Ah. It's okay. I've been around enough weapons in my day," She uttered, turning around "In fact, kind of reminds me of some old friends,"
"How much do I owe you?" Ronin asked, reaching into his pocket, "It's on the house," Skylor replied "....friend."
"Appreciate it," Ronin trailed off, as news reporter keeps on talking "Festival celebration is going on all over Ninjago,"
Ronin played with chopsticks a little, and then looks up, at the Tv "Hey, mind turning that up?" He asked, glancing at Skylor
"But not only in Ninjago. Other cities in every corner..."
Skylor raised a brow and she picked up the remote "You know that sewer swamp?"
"...are celebrating this festival..."
"Yeah. I used to call it home," He uttered.

Morro descended gracefully from the building, landing squarely in front of what used to be Ronin's pawn shop. Inside, the atmosphere was already thick with dread, centered around a pedestal in the middle of the room.
"Now, time to shed a little light," Morro muttered darkly. He carefully positioned the Realm Crystal on the pedestal. Above him, a medium-sized portal crackled into existence, surrounded by blue flames and revealing a pitch-black interior. Ghostly forms began to flow out from the portal . "
Ah, it's good to be back," Wrayth remarked nonchalantly.
"How long until the Preeminent is ready?" Morro asked, looking at the soul archer, "Her energy is still too strong to cross the Ethereal Divide," He responded
"The longer the gateway stays open, the stronger it becomes," Bansha stated "We must prepare for her arrival,"
"Morro chuckled evilly, his voice echoing with malice. 'Then what are we waiting for?' he exclaimed. 'Let the festival begin!'
More ghosts slithered out of the portal, their eerie forms twisting and writhing as they spilled into the room. With an ominous hiss, they exited the shop, dispersing through the city like a plague over water.
Citizens screamed in terror, their panic spreading like wildfire. They fled in all directions as Skreemers corrupted everything in their path, their once vibrant red lights morphing into a sickly green hue that cast a ghastly pallor over the surroundings.
