Payten
When Saturday rolled around, Payten couldn't wait for her two best friends to come over. They used to meet up every other Saturday, but when Alek passed away, they were there everyday for her, whether it was in person or over the phone.
But this Saturday was technically their first wine night since his death, and while Payten was excited it felt weird that she had to tell Adam to be somewhere else for a few hours, and not Alek.
"Okay I'll be back later, if you guys need anything just text me okay?" Adam said, grabbing his keys off the counter. Payten smiled and nodded, his voice bring her out of her thoughts. Adam walked down the hallway to the front door, Payten following closely behind him.
"Yeah okay, we will. I'll see you later Adam." Payten watched as he opened the door, smiling at her before walking out. She waved slightly and smiled back, watching the door close and him disappear.
Shortly after Adam left, both girls arrived at the house. They grabbed their drinks, Payten grabbing herself a sprite, and headed over to the couch with their snacks.
"Okay he was cute but he was totally not my type." Juliet laughed, recalling her encounter with a guy she met in the club last weekend.
"Who would you say he looked like?" Payten sipped her Sprite, and sat down cautiously.
"If I'm being honest he looked a lot like a young Rob Lowe, like from the Outsiders." Juliet took a sip from her glass and both other girls squealed.
"A young Rob Lowe and you turned him down?!" Mariella exclaims, and then shakes her head with laughter. "I could slap you so hard right now."
The girls burst out laughing, leaning back against the couch for support. Once their laughs died down, both girls looked over at Payten with a knowing look.
"So, can we talk about the whole Adam living here situation?" Juliet looks between Mariella and Payten, but her eyes land on Payten.
"What? What's wrong with it?" Payten says looking between her friends, who look at each other and laugh.
