In times of need, we all need somebody to lean on. It may be a friend, a parent or sometimes a complete stranger. But for Payten, it just so happens to be her best friend, aka her old crush.

Payten & Adam
Sitting back in the OB's lobby, Payten bounced her legs for a different reason. She was excited to see the baby again, as her last ultrasound had been almost 6 weeks ago since the OB went on vacation.
Her bump had been growing, and she couldn't help but smile every time she saw it in the mirror. Adam had errands to run today, so Payten would be alone in this appointment.
When she got called back into the room, her excitement grew with every step she took. She sat up on the table and waited patiently for Dr. Samar.
Five minutes pass and Dr. Samar walks in.
"Hello Payten." She smiles, closing the door behind her, she sets down her papers on the counter, pumping some hand sanitizer and rubbing it in. "How are you feeling today?"
"I feel great. I haven't been sick in a while so I hope that's finally over with." Payten joked and the two laughed.
"Okay you can lay down. You know the drill, it'll probably be cold." Dr. Samar spoke and Payten did as she was told. She laid back, lifting up her shirt to reveal her stomach. Dr. Samar wheeled the monitor over, squeezing the gel onto Paytens stomach before placing the wand.
"There they are." Dr. Samar says, turning the monitor so Payten can see. Payten watches as the baby moves slightly, and she grins from ear to ear.
"Hi baby." She whispers to the screen, Dr. Samar smiling softly at her.
"So, judging from the measurements, I'd actually say you are 15 weeks. Which would make your due date sometime in early October. October 8th should be your due date, that would be my estimate." Dr. Samar grabbed her papers, writing things down quickly.
"I wish October would get here quicker." Payten joked, earning a laugh from Samar.
When Payten got home, she noticed Adams vehicle in the driveway. She walked into the house, setting her things down.
"Adam?" She yelled, walking down the hallway and looking around. She heard faint music coming from where Payten chose the baby room to be, so she walked towards it.
