SMUT

— ❝ THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD. ❞  YOU smiled up at Armin as you both exited out the restaurant, him opening the door for you. He gave a short nod, following shortly behind you. "Did you call Daniel?" You questioned, looking around the street, hugging your body to keep you from getting cold in the chill of the night. "Oh shit." Armin sucked his teeth as he grabbed out his phone, about to type away before you grabbed his wrist. He looked down at you, furrowing his brows, "The house is only a 10 minute walk, it's fine. It's already late." You spoke, holding onto Armin's wrist for a bit longer than you liked before letting go.

"You're wearing heels, aren't your feet going to hurt?" Armin questioned, looking down at your shoes for a split second. You pursed your lips, completely forgetting you had heels on before shrugging and beginning to walk the direction to the house. Armin began walking shortly behind you before he noticed you shaking slightly. He shoved his phone in his pants pocket before taking off his jacket he threw on last minute and throwing it over your shoulders. "Oh, thanks." You smiled again, adjusting it on your shoulders so it wouldn't slide off.

It was silent between you and Armin for a moment before you spoke, "How close are you and Alia?" You asked, fumbling with your hands as you spared a small glance at Armin. Armin let out a some hum, "She was like a mother figure to me after our mom died. We were close in childhood, fell out in adulthood and just recently started talking more again maybe two years ago." You noticed him looking at you while he spoke out the corner of his eye. You could tell Alia and Armin were close but you would've never guessed they fell out, "Why did you both fall out?"

"We were just..different. She was meant to be queen, and I was on the side doing my own thing. I wasn't born to be a monarch, she was, and that was the difference between us." He let out a small huff as he shoved his hands into his pants pockets. Sometimes you forgot Armin was never meant to be the king, he was kind of a side option, he wasn't trained from birth like his sister was to rule. He just recently found out he was to rule a whole country by himself and he didn't get trained for that, not like Alia. "Did you ever want to be king?" You mumbled, you didn't want to push Armin too much. It was already a shocker he was answering all that you had asked. You both had just made it to the front of the house before he spoke.

"I want my country safe and secure and giving out like Alia wasn't the way." He stopped walking as he answered, causing you to stop and turn around to look at him. Your face softened as you listened to his words. Armin may act ruthless and cold, but he wasn't. He just wanted to keep everyone around him safe and healthy because he couldn't save the one person he loved. "You're a good person, you know that?" Armin felt his heart drop as you spoke, the way your words sounded so graceful and genuine it caused him to almost believe what you said.
