— ❝ WELCOME HOME, BELLE! ❞ CECIL'S voice called out as you took your shoes off, noticing her walking over to you with a dish in hand. "Hey." You mustered up a smile as you walked over to the woman before she planted a kiss on each of your cheeks, a regular french greeting. "What did you have to get done?" She questioned as you followed shortly behind her, dragging your suitcase beside you. "I have to finish planning Kami Altria's launch party. It's in three weeks and I still have to check in with a few vendors and guest." You sighed as you tried ignoring the tightening in your chest.
"Kami Altria? Wow, amour, that's impressive!" She complimented, her eyebrows raised in surprise. Kami was a hard client, she was diligent and full of high expectations so the fact she selected you as the one to plan her launch party was more of a gesture to you than her. If this goes well, your career could be boosted tremendously and that's all you ever wanted. You loved your job, it was the one thing that was yours. Something to touch and call your own. "Yeah. I better get to work though. I'll be in my office if you need me." You were about to walk off before Cecil stopped you, "Do you know when Armin will be home? King Azreal needs a word with him."
You shuddered for a second, before shrugging. Just hearing Armin's name felt like a punch in the gut. You knew how Armin was, he was nonchalant and quiet, but today he showed his true colors. The way he treated you in the office was something you would've never expected and as of right now, you couldn't even stand hearing his name. It hurt and angered you all in one. Without anymore time wasted, you walked away, dropping your luggage in your room without unpacking it and towards your office so you could bury yourself in work. The one thing that wouldn't hurt you.

"Thank you, Daniel." Armin thanked as he quickly opened the car door, shutting it and practically running towards the front door of you and his home. Armin was able to find out that you had flew home and got here as fast as possible. "Prince Armin, you're home early! You're father wanted—" A woman began speaking before Armin stopped her, "I can't right now Genevieve I have something important to do." He stated, walking past the woman, her mouth agape at Armin's need for hurrying. Once he reached the front door, he searched his pocket for his keys, groaning as he couldn't find them before he finally felt them in his back pocket.
