— ❝ HE DID WHAT! ❞ YOU YELLED IN frustration as you stormed into Armin's office to find it hallow and lonely. "Mon cher, did he not tell you?" Cecil questioned, placing a soft hand on your back im attempt to comfort you. Apparently Armin went on a little "trip" and forgot to give you a heads up or literally anything. You've only been living with him for about a month and he seemed to have a bad habit of constantly running away from situations or just life in general. "I swear Cecil, i'm going to kill him one day." You huffed, slamming the office door shut and walking over to the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
You and Armin's little kiss happened about 3 days ago and you both haven't said much since other than a good morning, good night and to pass the salt at dinner. This was pretty normal for you both but it's been a lot worse lately. It seems like Armin was completely avoiding you more than be was before, maybe you offended him when you spoke about his mother? He's the type to say something if he was though so you had no idea what it could've been, but all you knew is that you were tired of his bullshit all the time. If he wanted this to work, you both would need to try to get along at the very least.
You decided you would wait until he gets back from whatever the hell he's doing so you both could have a talk, you both were full grown adults and you were going to get married in less than a year at this point. It was time to start acting like your age and running away and avoiding one another wasn't it.

♯ ARMIN
"So, baby brother, how's the fiancée?" Alia, Armin's older sister questioned, a small smile on her face as she took a seat beside Armin on their villa balcony. "How did you even find out?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at his sister as she laughed. "Come on, Armin, i'm your older sister. I know everything, so answer my question." She nudged his stomach causing him to scoff, "She's fine." He gave a plain answer to which Alia rolled her eyes. Armin never spoke much but you would think he would have more to say about his future wife. "What's she like? I want to meet her." Armin let out a heavy sigh, he knew how Alia was and she would never back down until she heard or got exactly what she wanted. How the hell did he end up in Germany with this woman.
"She reminds me a lot of mom." Alia's eyes slightly widened as he heard Armin's words. She had never been close to their mother like Armin was and she knew how distraught Armin was over her death. He didn't talk for weeks and refused to do anything, even eating. "How so?" Alia turned giving Armin her full attention, "Just the way she presents herself. Strong willed and confident." He shrugged. Armin would've never used those words about you to your face but he couldn't lie to his older sister, she was the one person who could see straight through him other than Cecil. "How come you don't seem to like her very much than? You seem agitated while you speak about her."
"I don't know. We're just different." He shrugged to which Alia laughed and rolled her eyes. Armin gave her a weird look, his brows furrowing. He doesn't remember saying anytning to cause such an uproar. "Armin, seriously. Do you take me for an idiot?" She shook her head, a small still ghosting her face. Armin didn't respond. "You're scared Armin. I can see it in your eyes. You're scared of what will happen if you genuinely get to know her aren't you? You've refused to attach yourself to anyone since mom died." Alia's face went serious. Armin could feel his eye twitch from anger. Why did he suddenly get pissed off? "And If I am? What are you going to do?" He asked, raising his eyebrows as he waited for his sister to answer.
She gave a small smile, "Nothing. Thats for you to overcome, your burden. All I hope is that one day, you'll finally put your walls down and let someone in, let yourself love somebody without thinking about what will happen in the future. When you can finally love and accept yourself, your possibilities will be endless." Alia gave a small nod before getting up out her seat and walking out the villa balcony, leaving Armin alone. Armin bit the inside of his cheek as he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He grabbed it out, noticing it was a notification from you. He thought about his sister's words as he wrote back to you. Maybe he could stand to be a little less on guard.

♯ Y/N THREE DAYS LATER
"I'm home." Armin called out as you walked to where he was at the foyer, your arms crossed and your face determined. Armin furrowed his brows as he dropped his keys in a small wooden bowl and hung his coat on the hanger, "What?" He questioned, walking towards you until you both were a mere few feet away from one another. "I have a proposal." You smiled, dropping your arms to your hips. Armin gave a confused face as he waited for you to elaborate. "I say, we form a truce." You suggested. You had been thinking about a way to atleast try and get you and Armin to get along and this was the best you got, you just hoped he would agree.
"A truce?" He questioned your words, his arms now crossed. You gave a small nod, "Yes. We should attempt to get along at the very least. So getting to know one another, going on a few dates, you know." You were more than determined to get you and Armin on atleast the right track since you guys have been less than friendly since you both met (other than at the field, which he ruined by running away, like usual). "You asking me out, love?" Armin teased, a small chuckle falling a little after his words. You rolled your eyes, "I told you stop calling me that."
"Did you?" He smiled as he noticed your more than annoyed look. This man just loved toying with you. "Here, how about, I let you call me love, as long as you agree to atleast try and get to know one another." You gave a small smile as you noticed the usual expression Armin gave when he was about to cave. A small silence followed before he spoke, "Deal." He agreed, holding out his hand. You took it hesitantly, a small smile ghosting your face as you shook it. A small gasp left your mouth as he squeezed your hand suddenly. He let out a small grunt as you squeezed his even harder. You both gave one another your usual sarcastic smiles as you each gripped one another hands harder.
You couldn't tell if this was one of the best or worse decisions you made, but who cares?
