"I'm his wife." She responds
I stare at her, still surprised at the fact that she's my brothers wife. I tare my gaze away from her and look at Blake, who is already staring at me
Guilt written all over his face. I roll my eyes at him and look away.
"Oh right. I thought you looked familiar." Aiden being the one to cut the awkward silence
I look at him confused and he seems to notice.
"Me and Ethan were invited but we couldn't go. We had finals coming up." He explains, making things a bit worse for Blake
I turn to my side to see if Landon was invited to. But I get my answer when he doesn't even look at me.
They were all invited but me and mom. Asshole.
"For how long?" My mom asks. She's giving them an annoyed look, probably mad as well
"Four years." Blake responds quietly.
"I was going to in-" he tries to explain but I cut him off, already knowing what he was going to say
"But you didn't."
"So who walked you down the aisle? Because mom wasn't invited and we'll dad is dead" I say bitterly
He just stares at me blankly.
"Does she know? Does she know what you did?" I ask, curiosity taking over me
"I do. He made a mistake but he's here to fix it, because he cares about all of you." She defends him
I laugh "You're funny." She looks at me stunned. They all do.
Except my mother
"What? Does everyone think he's doing this because he cares? How naive are y'all?!
He's only here to fix things because he wants the public to know what he did, or how much of a selfish person he actually is." I explain
"Landon you remember what he said the day he left 'I can't be here since mom is becoming an out of control alcoholic. It ruins the image and reputation of the company to the public.' and then he left." I remind them.
I look at Blake and he looks right back at me. His eyes hold an emotion I can't make out.
"I was a stupid kid. I made a huge mistake but I'm not trying to fix things so people think I'm perfect.
I'm here because I care about all of you guys and I know for a fact dad wouldn't want things to be like this." He explains.
"Esme I really a sorry for everything. But I'm here now. And Im taking you and Issac with me." I roll my eyes
