3 years later...
"Happy birthday!"
I wake up to a small body jumping on top of me.
"Happy birthday Esme! Wake up." I hear Issac's cheery voice again.
I open my eyes and see Issac's little body on top of mine. He's growing up so fast
He turned six about two months ago in March. He's a very smart and sarcastic six year old.
"Can't let the birthday girl sleep in a little longer?" I plead
Yes, today is officially my 19th birthday. It's been a crazy couple of three years.
"Nope, hurry get up." He continues
"Okay, I'm up." I say
"Finally. Come downstairs for breakfast." He tells me before running out of my room.
I quickly get up and ready for the day. I'm not doing something big this year just hanging out with my friends and family.
I choose a white summer dress that has some blue flowers on it as well, with my white vans. I then put a little concealer and mascara on. I leave my hair down and curled.
Over the past three years Evelyn and Ellie have managed to get me to wear more girly things than just a hoodie everyday.
I begin to walk downstairs when I hear my phone start to ring
"Hi mija." I hear as soon as I answer
"Hi mom." I reply
My mom was in rehab until she got better and now we all have a good relationship with her but Issac still prefers to call me mom
I know it hurts her to hear him call me mom instead but shes grateful he has me.
"Happy birthday. I love you my sweet girl." I smile
"Thank you mom."
"I'll be coming to Sacramento tomorrow, i couldn't get out of work today. I'm sorry." She tells me
She lives in L.A. with my aunt Beth. Aunt Beth has been a huge help to us and her and my mom live next door to each other.
My mom wanted to stay in L.A. with my aunt Beth after we moved to Sacramento and Liam graduation high school.
"It's okay mom. At least you're coming. We'll spend the day together." I suggest
"That's sounds great. I have to go but tell your brothers and Evelyn I said hi for me." She tells me
"Sure will." I say before hanging up.
I walk towards the dining room, knowing my family will be there eating breakfast.
"Esme, happy birthday." Blake tells me as soon I walk in the dining room.
He pulls me into a hug and I hug him back immediately.
