Ok some context before I start the chapter this is set on the first day of year seven for Trevor and Derek so they have just started secondary school and basically this is just how they met

DEREKS POV:

Class 7A I read from the time table the receptionist gave me.

As I walk through the corridors I can feel people stare why are they staring at me? I put my hood up to avoid contact

After a few minutes of getting lost and taking different turns I finally find my class

I go over to the teacher who tells me to go sit next to a tall skinny dark skinned boy what did mr bar say his name was Trevor? I didn't mind he seemed quiet unlike these other imbeciles

"Hi"

I say shit that probably sounded so awkward

"Hey"

He says back with this contagious smile

"Your names Trevor right?"

"Yeah hi is it your first day too?"

"Yeah I mean it is the first day of school"

I say in a harsh tone SHIT HE SEEMS SO SWEET WHY DID I DO THAT

"Oh yeah hahaha sorry, what's your name I forgot to ask before?"

"Derek"

"Nice to meet you Derek"

When he says that he holds out his hand for me to shake and I think to myself what a strange kid? Like I talked to him rudely but he just brushed it off and now wants to shake my hand?

I shake his hand though I wasn't going to leave him hanging
"Sooo what time table ya got"

I hand him my timetable because I still had no idea how this worked

"Derek look! We have all our classes together"

"Oh er that's great"

"ISNT IT!"

He says at least ten times to loud I can't it's too early for this

"Jeez don't be so loud your gonna burst my ear drums"

"Oh sorry sometimes I get a little bit too excited"

"It's ok it's just too early for shouting"

TIME SKIP A YEAR

as I walk down the the hallway I can feel my eyes dart around the room and... there I found him

I walk up to Trevor greeting him with a warm smile

"Hey"

"Hey you look happy today"

"I am you know why?"

"No?"

"My mum let me buy Eldem rings and she said you could stay over tonight and we could stay up all night playing games!"

"REALLY?!"

"YEAH!"

"OH NICE ONE I'm gonna go text my mum see if she will let me go"
