The Idea

"Wait- Brimmy, where are you going?" asked Dogpoo.

Not responding, Brimmy stormed out of the house and let the door slam behind him as he made his way back to his own home. He needed space to think. Of course, he would've preferred less people crowding his house and his mind, but he'd convinced himself that was a minor tribulation- for now.

"What's going on? Is something wrong?" he then heard from behind. Brimmy turned around and saw Dogpoo, who he still couldn't believe had been his brother this whole time, following.

"I need to go back home and think." Brimmy responded, not wanting to stop and talk.

"Look, I get this was a lot to find out so suddenly, but- could you not act so stressed about the fact that we're family?" Dogpoo then suggested. "I think it's great that we're brothers."

Brimmy sighed and stopped walking. "That's not what I'm stressing out over."

"Then what is it?"

"Well-" Brimmy started, "It's not just this that has been 'a lot'. Everything recently has been a lot for me. For years I was under the impression that you were dead, then suddenly you walk in with tons of people that I've never met in my life- people who have taken my weapons and lived in our house and have probably turned our house into a target- it's just really overwhelming, and I've tried being helpful and understanding, but- after all this, finding out we're brothers just adds to the insanity of it all. It's great- it really is- but it doesn't feel real."

"Oh." said Dogpoo. "Well- you can take your time processing it. I didn't mean to make things harder for you by bringing everyone to our house. We just really need a place to stay, and-"

"It's fine. I'm not mad or anything, I'm just not used to being surrounded by strangers. Especially when they've got me coming up with ideas that make absolutely no sense and would probably never work but have to be tried anyways-"

"Hold on." Dogpoo interrupted. "Like what? The Yardale invasions?"

"No." Brimmy said, shaking his head. "Just earlier I came up with the dumbest idea."

"Well what is it?"

Finally reaching their home, with Leslie, Pip, Damien, Josh, and Trent following behind, Brimmy walked inside and continued shaking his head and almost laughing at himself. It was impossible. It was such a stupid idea, he didn't know why he'd thought of it. No one would believe it, he thought. Or, they'd believe in it too much, it would fail, and Brimmy would become the world's biggest failure. He didn't know anymore, and he was beginning to not care.

"I know how we can bring Gregory back." he announced.

The house fell silent. Everyone stared at Brimmy, and he had begun to remember why he hated having this many people in his home. Then, breaking the silence, Estella asked, "And how in the world would we do that?"

"We have to kill him."

Mark then stepped into the room to add his own commentary. "Do you know how outrageous that sounds? We can't just kill him and expect it to make him better."

"When he dies, he'll regain all of his memories. We could then find a way to communicate with him from the dead. It could work." Brimmy responded.

"I'm pretty sure Gregory got Kenny's powers. He can't die." said Damien.

"How exactly did Kenny's powers work, Damien?" Brimmy then asked.

"Well-" Damien explained, "He'd go up to Heaven, and God would permit him to be sent back to Earth."

"And what if God is distracted?" Brimmy added.

Damien paused. He thought for a minute, and could find no excuse against Brimmy's idea. "This could work, guys."

"I don't know. I don't like it. I think we need to take more time to consider whether or not this would work." Mark argued.

Estella scoffed. "Why are you suddenly so against killing Gregory? Only weeks ago you wouldn't have hesitated to end his life."

Rolling his eyes, Mark defensively said, "I just believe you all need to think critically for a moment."

"Is there a less violent way we can bring him back?" then wondered Gary.

"Probably not." replied Brimmy.

"Oh." Gary sighed.

Few seemed to be excited about the idea of killing Gregory, but most agreed that doing it could successfully bring his memories back. The question of who would be the one to kill Gregory lingered, but that would be a question for later. For now, all could only question what the normal Gregory would be like when he returned.
