The invasion began. Josh, Trent, Damien, Pip, Mole, Rebecca, and Dogpoo left with their plan in mind while Brimmy, Gary, Estella, Leslie, Gregory, and Mark stayed behind to keep watch on cameras and each other. Everyone was provided an earpiece by Brimmy so that they could easily communicate no matter their location. Josh's plan was simple- the seven who were invading would sneak in through a spot in the Yardale building that he found to have the least security, and would search for George and Marcus from there in order to kill them. Once the two in charge were dead, the business could be easily dismantled.
Everyone believed the plan was foolproof.
Once the seven had arrived at Yardale, Josh led everyone to the backside of the building- a part that was still being rebuilt after the first invasion to rescue Pip and Leslie. Only one thing was blocking them from the unfinished opening in the building- a giant electric fence that surrounded the entire area.
"How are we meant to get past this?" Pip questioned.
Before anyone could speak up with ideas, Mole had already taken out his shovel and begun digging under the fence. He created a tunnel in seconds and successfully made it past the fence.
Josh chuckled. "You'd think going under was the obvious choice. Trent tried to climb it when we escaped."
"Shut up. I didn't know it was electric." Trent responded, looking down at his hands which were still slightly scarred from the electricity.
Damien then rolled his eyes. "You guys are so stupid." He then created a portal and walked right through the gate, meeting Mole on the other side. Pip carefully followed behind.
"Huh. I forgot you could do that." said Josh. "Why didn't you tell us? We could've just taken a portal to get inside."
"It's more interesting to sneak in." Damien argued. "And it's too late now- I'm already tired from that portal."
"And you call us stupid?" Josh argued back, making his way through the tunnel Mole had created after Damien's portal quickly disappeared. Trent, Dogpoo, and Rebecca followed.
Sighing, Rebecca interrupted, "Can we please just break in instead of arguing?"
Josh nodded. "Come on, Damien. Focus." He then walked into the building, the others sneaking close behind. Rebecca quietly sent a message with her earpiece to the group that stayed behind, letting them know they had made it inside.
Pip looked around and found parts of the building quite familiar. Memories from when he was trapped there were flowing through his mind, and he had a bad feeling.
Damien seemed to notice Pip's worried expression. "You're not gonna get trapped in here again." he said. "We're gonna kill those assholes and destroy this dumb place." Pip smiled in response, but he didn't know if he believed Damien.
Then, Damien suddenly stopped. Pocket's ghost was back and was staring right at him with fear in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" Pip asked, incapable of seeing Pocket- along with everyone else sneaking through Yardale.
"You need to go back." Pocket began to warn. "You won't be able to kill them."
Damien shook his head. "Everything's fine, Pip. I just- thought I saw George and Marcus." He thought Pocket was simply doubting their capabilities to fight the old men, and he refused to listen. "Let's keep going." Before Pocket could argue, he disappeared. Once again, Pip doubted what Damien said, but he moved on and continued walking.
After only a moment more of walking stealthily through the hallways, Josh stopped the group and whispered, "I hear them."
Everyone grew silent, and they understood what Josh heard. George and Marcus were walking in a nearby hallway, arguing with each other.
"They couldn't have escaped." they heard Marcus say. "Security claims they could've been moved to a different prisoners sector after remodeling was done."
"I think they're talking about us." Trent whispered, trying not to laugh with Josh.
"Well the four have disappeared!" George began to argue. "I've searched through every sector and there's no sign of them. They must've escaped."
"If they'd escaped, there would be more signs. This is a large building, they could've been thrown anywhere. Plus, no one in security was attacked- and there's no way those four wouldn't go out without a fight." suggested Marcus.
Josh whispered back, "I told you it was a good idea not to attack anyone on our way out." Trent only mumbled another 'shut up' in response.
George continued, "Well then, we had better figure out what sector they're in. I want to yell at Matthew once more before we leave."
"You don't need to do that." said Marcus. "None of these prisoners will be our problem after today- we won't own the damn place anymore."
Everyone listening to the argument tried to contain their confusion. "The fuck does he mean by that?" Mole whispered.
Josh shrugged. "Who cares? Let's go kill them already." He turned a corner in the hallway to face George and Marcus, but before he could move further to kill them, he witnessed the two walking through a portal. "They're gone."
"What?" Damien asked.
"They just went through a portal to who-knows where." said Josh. "They're gone."
"No- they couldn't have." complained Damien. "They can't make portals."
"I just saw them make one." sighed Josh.
Damien looked down the hallway himself to confirm that the two were truly gone, even running down the length of the hall to check every room and corner. The men whom they had just heard bickering disappeared.
"They could've gone anywhere." Mole mentioned. "They could still be in the building."
Dogpoo then used his earpiece to speak with Brimmy. "Can you check the cameras to see if George and Marcus are still here?"
Brimmy replied in a heaving voice, sounding horrified by something. "You guys need to come back- now."
"What's going on?" Dogpoo asked.
"Something exploded in the house. Shit is destroyed- I can't find anyone- I need you guys to come back."
Hearing the conversation, Josh commanded, "Damien, make another portal." Damien mumbled that he was too tired to make another one, but managed to anyways out of urgency. The seven quickly walked through and were met with tons of smoke and dust in their faces. Before them stood piles of rubble and destroyed brick- debris which could never again be recognized as Dogpoo and Brimmy's home.
The only two people that were visible were Brimmy and Leslie. Brimmy was making his way to the group that had just returned, his injured arm bleeding again and his head bruised, while Leslie, her robot parts still mainly intact, was searching through the rubble and trying to find the others. Dogpoo and Rebecca rushed to help Brimmy with his arm, whilst everyone else could only stare at the scene before them.
"I don't know what happened." Brimmy explained. "I think someone set up bombs in the house."
"Who would do that?" questioned Dogpoo. "I mean- I'm sure Gregory would've, but how would he have gotten bombs? We didn't have any explosives in the house that would cause this kind of damage."
"And Gary and I didn't find anything like that on him." added Rebecca. She suddenly looked up, coming to the realization that Gary was missing. "Was Gary with you?"
"He was with me and Leslie by the computers before the explosion. Mark and Estella were watching over Gregory." answered Brimmy.
Leslie then walked over to the group. "I found Gary."
Relieved for only a moment, Rebecca asked, "Where is he?"
Leslie paused before responding, and Rebecca suddenly knew what had happened. "He didn't make it."
