After having his lunch Dev went to the station again. That is when he saw the CI. Who didn't come to the station in the morning. He saluted at dev.

Dev : what's your name ?

 CI Somasekhar : Somasekhar sir ! 

Dev : from how many you are in the department ? 

CI Somasekhar : 15 years !

Dev : from how many years you are working as CI ?

CI somasekhar : 5 years sir !

Dev : how many cases did you solve ?

He didn't get any answer except some noise.

Dev : I am asking you something CI sir.

Rajat : sir ! I found the file that you have asked me.

Dev : thank you !

Dev went into his chamber.

Rajat : sir ! Our new DCP doesn't care about anyone. He is the same officer about whom we spoke few days ago. He dragged a MP to police station because of his involvement in drugs trafficking. He won't listen to anyone. All higher officials will consider his words. Be careful !

He nodded.

CI Somasekhar : when did he come ?

Rajat : today morning he took the charge. From the time he came he was constantly engrossed in checking the old files and archives related to the smuggling. He already assigned different works for us. He is going to speak with all of us in the evening about how to execute our operation in the forest .

CI Somasekhar : what work did he assign to me ?

Rajat : patrolling !

As Somasekhar is a lazy man Dev assigned patrolling which needs lot of activeness. So, that he will work for sure.

Amukta decided to join the hospital after 2 days. There is a charity hospital which is few around 3 kilometres away from her house. It also includes a medical college. She applied for a job in it and they accepted it. As she is a well known and good reputation holding doctor they didn't interview her. They directly conformed her job request. 

After having her lunch she started studying and it became evening soon. She recently completed  MD in forensic science. After her MBBS she did her masters in general surgery. Later on she developed an interest in forensic science. Dev motivated her to pursue what she wants to do. He motivated her by saying that it is never too late for anything. She got her master degree in forensic medicine 4 yearsago. She works along with dev during his investigations . She called her parents and spoke with them. Then she spoke with vihana and asked her about her day. She thought of watching some film and turned the TV on. She started watching an old comedy film. She paused the movie for a while and cooked the dinner. She started watching it again. It is already 8:00 pm. She called dev multiple times but he is not answering. She thought he must be busy and didn't call him again. Then she heard a knock on the door. She peeped from the door viewer and saw mythri.  She looked absolutely tensed.

Amukta opened the door .

Mythri : amukta ! I have to tell you something.

Amukta : what's that ?

Mythri : Dev found a skull in our school playground. He is asking you to come immediately. 

Amukta : one second.

Amukta locked the door and went along with mythri. The school is around 450 metres away from their house. As they went there she saw dev. Amukta saw a skull in his hand.

Dev : ammu ! You are here ! Look at this !

Amukta : where did you find this ?

Dev : in this schoolbag.  Someone left this in the school ground and went away. When the Physical education teacher came to the ground he saw this bag and thought that this bag belongs to some student . He opened the bag to see the name of the student on the book but he found this skull and a love letter for me.

Dev passed the letter to her.

Namasthey DCP sir !

I heard the speech that you gave to your fellow police officers. I am quite impressed. I thought of giving you this few days later but I was unable to stop myself from giving this to you. I hope you loved my gift .

Amukta chuckled. Dev looked at her seriously.

Amukta : even I didn't write any love letter to you. But you got it from some criminal. Your love-story is film worthy. 

Dev : indeed it's going to be an epic tale for sure. Let me reach him.

Amukta asked him to pass the skull to her. A constable gave gloves to her. Amukta observed it carefully.

Amukta : This doesn't seem to be a naturally decomposed. This person might have died recently. I mean it wont be more than a month of time. It's texture is different. So, it means that they have used chemicals for getting rid of the flesh remains.

Dev : constable ! Take this to the lab. 

Amukta took of the gloves and throwed it in the dustbin.

Dev : ammu ! How much time does it take for giving clarity on that ? 

Amukta : I will tell you everything by tomorrow evening. Do we have equipment required for it ?

Dev : yes ! 

Amukta : shall i start my work today ?

Dev : no ! Start from tomorrow. I have discuss about something else. We should go to station now. I got call from Vasudev sir . They got the forensic report it seems.

Amukta : did you guys get any clue ?

Dev : they found a pendrive inside that hand.

Amukta : what ?

Dev : yes ! The truck which was seized yesterday is filled with dried narcotic plants beneath the cotton.

Amukta : what ?

Dev : yes ! Everything is perfectly planned. He is trying to provoke us by doing all these stuff. 

Amukta : did you print that forensic report ?

Dev : yes ! I think this skull and that hand belongs to same person.

 A constable gave the report to her. 

Amukta : no ! It belongs to different people. This hand belongs to a 24 years old man and that skull belongs to someone who is probably in late 50s or early 60s.

Dev : are you sure ?

Amukta : yes !
