Dev closed his eyes and leaned against the wall . SSP didn't understand how he is supposed to respond now. He patted dev's shoulder and went out. He saw vinod along with vihana and amukta's parents . Saritha is crying badly . Vihana and sagar are also vulnerable. Vinod saluted to him as soon as he saw him.

Vinod : good morning sir !

SSP : good morning ! Nothing to worry. she is undergoing treatment. Dev is completely devastated. Talk to him. 

Vinod nodded. As he walked towards emergency ward he saw dev standing there. He noticed few bruises on dev's body . He went towards him and placed his hand on his shoulder.

Vinod : dev ! 

Dev hugged vinod tightly and vinod felt wetness on his shoulder. Vinod never saw dev like this. He felt a pang in his heart by seeing dev like this.

Vinod : dev ! Calm down. She will be alright. Nothing happens to her. 

Dev : everything is because of me. I shouldn't have taken her with me. She loves me like a mad woman. But this is how she ended up because of me. I am a selfish idiot. I risked her life by taking her with me. I am a horrible husband. I should protect her but i pushed her into danger. I don't deserve her love. I am unlucky. 

Vinod : shut up idiot ! What are you blabbering ? You are the best . She loves you a lot and i know how much you love her. Don't let your negative thoughts to  dominate your mind.

Dev : no ! Whatever i have told is true. She would have been safe if I wasn't there in her life. I don't deserve the love i am getting from her and her family. What answer i am supposed to give when her praents ask me ? 

Saritha : enough dev ! If at all amukta listen's to these words she will die for sure. You are equal to amukta for me. You two are my children. 

Dev : athamma ! 

Saritha : yes ! We know how much you love her. This is part of life. Stay strong.

Saritha hugged dev and consoled him. She then went towards the ganesh idol which is present in the hospital.

Dev saw sagar and vihana. Vihana ran towards him and hugged his legs. 

Vihana : don't cry nanna ! Please ! Nothing will happen to amma. 

Vihana started crying . He picked her up in her arms and looked at her.

Vinod : see your daughter is telling you. 

Dev hugged vihana tightly.

Vihana : nothing will happen nanna ! She will  be alright. Please ! If you are crying even i am feeling like crying.

Dev nodded. Dev suddenly got a question in his mind. He didn't understand when amukta got injured during the whole scenario at the forest. He recalled all the events and then he recalled something that he missed few hours ago. When gopi attacked them with dynamites he also saw a stone being thrown from the opposite direction. That's the direction at which amukta was standing. He realised that the stone hit her and fell forward. Because of the chaos amukta might have not realised her injury. That is what he thought. He wondered who it might be. He fisted his hands with anger. He promised to himself that he will definitely make them pay for what they have done.

The doctor came out gaining everyone's attention.

Sagar : doctor ! How is she ?

Doctor : she is out of danger. Nothing to worry.

Everyone sighed with relief. 

Doctor : but she has to take rest for at-least a month. Her wound is little deeper. She needs time for healing it. This might have happened because of stretching after an injury. Whenever a person gets an injury it will get deepened if that part of our body gets reclined. That is what had happened to her. I will let you know once she is awake.

Few hours later , 

Saritha : can we meet her ?

Doctor : yes ! But only one person at a time. Don't cause any emotional stress to her.

Saritha : ok doctor ! Dev ! Go and meet her.

Dev : I am not ready to face her athamma.

Sagar : with what face he will see my daughter now ! After all he is the reason for everything.

Sagar went inside without bothering about others. Dev understood that he is angry on him. But he is not feeling bad about it. He can understand the pain of a father. 

Vinod : dev ! I am going to court. Take care ! 

Dev : don't let those bastards to win at any cost. I will make sure that they will get enough punishment for their deeds. 

Vinod : ok dev ! They can't escape at any cost. We have strong evidences and gopi is also alive, he will be of great help for sure.

Sagar looked at his daughter who is looking weak. He saw a bandage sticked on her nape. He saw many  dips and leads connected to her body . Sagar called his daughter lightly.

Sagar : amukta ! 

Amukta : nanna ! 

Sagar : how are you feeling my child ?

Amukta : better ! Where's dev ?

Sagar's expression changed into a stern face.

Sagar : he is outside.

Amukta : hmm. How is he ?

Sagar : he is fine.  You are the only one who got injured. 

Amukta understood that her father is angry on dev. 

Amukta : I understood nanna ! You are angry on him. But once think about him. How he must be feeling ! I know why he didn't came inside first. He must be feeling extremely vulnerable.

Sagar : yes ! But it is his fault after all. He shouldn't have taken you along with him. You are related to forensic department. What is your necessity there ? 

Amukta : forensic science not something that is only permitted till lab nanna ! We are needed even at the crime site.

Sagar : whatever ! 

Amukta : let's talk about this later. Please talk to him. You know what he underwent right ? You are there for supporting me. What about him ? He don't have his father with him. 

Sagar nodded. He brushed her hair lightly.

Sagar : I will send your mother inside.

Sagar went out and told saritha and viha to go inside. He looked at dev who is already looking at him as if he is asking for forgiveness. He gave a small smile to him and patted his shoulder lightly.

Sagar : she is fine. 

Sagar hugged him. Dev let out his unshed tears.

Sagar : stop it son ! I am sorry for being rude.

A nurse came there with first-aid box. 

Nurse : excuse me sir ! Amukta ma'am told me to do first-aid. 

Sagar : do your work child. He won't protest.
