Burning Love (Bakugo x reader)

Chapter 90

Your POV~

"Shoto, what's gotten into you?" You ask your brother. You're currently standing in his dorm room after the big scene he made with Bakugou in the kitchen.

"What's gotten into me? What's gotten into you Y/n?" He said to you, sitting down on his bed facing you. "You know dating isn't allowed. Not in school or at home." He says coldly.

"Of course I know that. Bakugou and I aren't dating. Nothing has happened between us. Why don't you believe me Shoto?" You ask him.

"Because I see the way he looks at you when he thinks no one's looking." He said, looking away from you. This caught you off guard. "And I've seen the way you smile at him sometimes, even if you don't mean to. I just..." He says, dropping his head slightly. "I don't want you to get hurt." He says.

This is a new side of him. It's almost like he wasn't just telling you this, but also telling himself. We've never talked about relationships before, not that we avoided it but we never had a reason to. You're not going to question him now since you don't want to make him uncomfortable, you just hope he can come to you when he's ready. You sit down next to him.

"Thank you Shoto." You say as you give him a hug, which doesn't happen often but he surprisingly hugged you back. "But please don't start a fight again." You say with a little laugh and he nods with a smile.

You leave his room after saying goodnight. Before you start walking away you notice Bakugous room, you see light from under the door so you know he's in there. You think about stopping by but you decide it might be best to give him a little space right now.

You have to prepare yourself for the secret mission Mr. Aizawa volunteered you for tomorrow.

Morning~

You exit the dormitory and meet up with Mr. Aizawa and the others that are going on the mission.

"Oh Y/n! I didn't know you were coming too." Uraraka says once she sees you with a big smile.

"I didn't either until the other day." You admit with a small smile and she laughs.

"Alright kids let's go, we don't want to be late." Mr. Aizawa says as the car gets there to pick you all up.

Once you got to the building, the nerves started kicking in. You've never been on a mission without your father who does most of the work.

You all caught up with Mirio, Amajiki, and Nejire when you stepped closer to the building. Mr. Aizawa left you guys alone as he went to strategize with the other pros. Mirio and Nejire greeted us as Amajiki hid behind his hood. You took this time to apologize to Nejire, you didn't want any bad blood between you too.

"Um, Nejire. I just wanted to apologize for how I spoke to you the other day. I was having a bad day and I was already mad and-"

"Aww. It's ok, no need to apologize." She interrupts you, and pulls you into a really tight hug. "I understand I can be a little much sometimes. You're so sweet for apologizing." She says as she lets go and pinches your cheeks. She kind of reminds you of Fuyumi.

"Excuse me!" You heard a loud voice say, grabbing all of your attention. There was a person who looked like a red cloak and a bird beak looking mask. "You have no business here. Leave now and there will be no bloodshed." The masked person demanded.

"We are here to rescue the small child that you have abducted. We are not leaving without her." One of the pros answered as you got in a fighting stance.

"Fine, have it your way." The villain replies, raising his hand. Then you saw other villains escape from behind bushes and trees. They began to run at you, and even some jumped down from the building.

"We'll go, guys stay here to fight." Mr. Aizawa says to one of the pro heroes. She nodded before turning back to you, nejire, and Uraraka.

"Let's show them what we can do!" Nejire said with a big smile to you an Uraraka. There were many villains but you think you can take them. 

Almost 2 hours later~

The ground was littered with bodies of the villains you've all taken down but more septillion keep coming. As you knocked out another villain you heard the pro hero that was fighting with you all out to you. 

"Y/n. Go inside and look for SunEater, Eraser said they had to leave him behind!" She shouts. You forgot that you actually have to use hero names during missions and almost didn't know who she was talking about. You nod and run inside the building.

The building was rather big and had man6 rooms but after some time you found Amajiki. He was face down on the floor which worried you.  

"Am-SunEater." You corrected yourself. "Are you ok?" You asked, kneeling down next to him. "SunEater?" You called his name again when he didn't answer and turned him over on his back. 

"Oh it's you. I'm Im ok." He struggled to say. "Did they send you to come find me? How embarrassing." He said, using his shaky arm to pull his hood over his face. You let out a small laugh.

"Well I'm glad you're talking, but you don't seem that ok to me." You say, looking down at his bruised and bleeding body. You reach down to your belt that you had added to your hero suit and grab bandages and disinfectant. "This is going to hurt but it'd do for now." You say as you spray down and wrap his cuts. "Alright let's get you out of here." You say once you finish. 

As you help him stand up and walk out the room the building shakes for a moment and the  you hear a loud scream, it sounded like Midoriya. You look back, contemplating whether or not you should go. 

"Go, I can walk." Amajiki says while letting go of you. "Please make sure Mirio is ok, I know how he can be." He says before walking off. That was the only time you saw him actually smile. And with that you ran off to find the others.
