Lovers

First day

As Oliwer disappeared down the hallway, I closed the door to my dorm. I leaned against it for a moment, trying to process everything that just happened. The bracelet on my wrist felt good against my skin, a reminder of the day.

Enid, of course, was waiting for me on her bed with a huge smile on her face. "Sooo, how did it go?" She asked eagerly, bouncing slightly with excitement.

I walked to my desk and sat my bag down "it was... nice" I replied, trying to keep my tone neutral.

"Nice?" Enid raised an eyebrow "come on, Wednesday, you can do better then that"

I sighed, knowing I couldn't avoid her questions. "We talked, had coffee, and he gave me this" I held up my wrist to show her the bracelet.

"Oh my god! That's so cute" Enid squealed, jumping of her bed to get a closer look "he definitely likes you"

I felt my cheeks warm slightly. "Maybe" I said, sitting down at my desk, fidgeting with the charm.

"And...?" Enid promoted, her eyes twinkling with anticipation.

I looked at her, debating on how much to reveal. Finally, I decided there was no point in hiding it.
"He kissed me" i said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Enids eyes widened, and she let out a squeal of delight. "I knew it! I knew it! You have a crush on him!"

"I wouldn't go that far" I said quickly, but the truth was, I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss, or the way it made me feel.

"Wednesday Addams has a crush" Enid teased, sitting back on her bed. "I never thought 'd see the day"

I roll my eyes, trying to deflect her teasing "it's just one date Enid, let's not get ahead of ourselves"

"Fine, fine" she said, still grinning "but you have to admit, it's kinda exciting"

"Maybe a little" I admitted.

The rest of the evening passed in a blur. Enid couldn't stop talking about the date and what it might mean for my future. I tried to keep up with her excitement, but my mind kept drifting back to the kiss and the look in Oliwer's eyes.

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of Enid bustling around the room. She was already dressed in the school uniform and ready for the day. Right, first day back.

"Good morning wens" she chirped, giving me a bright smile. "How did you sleep?"

"Fine" I replied, rubbing my eyes.

She sat down on the edge of my bed. "Ready for the first day of school?" She asked and I groaned in response. "Oh come on! It will be fun, okay maybe not the study part but the rest, maybe you will have a class with Oliwer" she winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

After a couple of minutes I got out of bed and got ready for the day, showering, braiding my hair, make up and getting dressed.

Once I was ready, I grabbed my bag and turned to Enid "alright, let's get this over with" I said.

The hallway was buzzing with students who all were excited or nervous about the new school year. Enid walked beside me, talking about the potential classes we could have together.

We made our way to the main hall where class schedules were posted. I scanned the list, searching for my name.

"There you are!" Enid pointed out my name on one of the lists. "And look we have first period together and then you have third with Oliwer"  she said.

I felt a small flutter in my chest at the thought but quickly suppressed it. "It's just a period" I muttered.

Enid beamed at me, clearly enjoying my discomfort. "Just a period with Oliwer huh?" That's exciting!" She teased, nudging me gently.
