Owner's Name

                MALHOTRA'S EMPIRE

Black polished shoes made little souns agaist the marble floor.

A man with dark brown eyes, well built physique , extremely capitative and dominative aura, silent facial expressions entered the meeting hall allowing everyone to submit by his powerful effective appearance.

His stern, attractive demeanor gave off a wildly dominant and authoritative look, making everyone stay still without a single doubt.

He sat down in his seat, allowing everyone else to take their seats as well.

He looked around the hall, which was full of employees working under Malhotra's empire.

His gaze landed on an empty chair.

He looked at them and said, "Speak," prompting everyone to start speaking in turn.

His eyes then went to the projector, watching every graph for their upcoming project.

After listening to the presentation on the project's anticipated profits, the hall lights came on, momentarily blinding everyone as their eyes adjusted to the light, but his face remained unchanged.

He nodded at the employ who just finished.

His eyes again fell on the empty chair  With a question in his eyes, he turned his head to the manager.

"Sir, Mr. Gautam is on leave. His wife went into labor today, and they welcomed their second child," the manager said in a steady voice, knowing his boss disliked unprofessional employees who lacked communication skills.

With a stern look, he again looked at the projector in front of him.

"Send him congratulations flowers, five year’s salary," he paused, "and a termination letter as well."

With this, he stood up, making everyone else stand as well.

He left the hall, and no one showed any reaction to the news of the employee who had just been fired.

Because they may not fully understand their boss, but they know one thing: when it comes to business, their boss becomes intransigent

After coming from the meeting hall, I went to my office. As I opened the door, I saw two friends of mine sitting on the sofa attached to the wall glass, which partitioned my big office room into two sections. My chair is set with a big window behind me, equipped with all the necessities. In the other section, there is a sofa set with a square glass table in between.

They looked at me, and I went to sit on the sofa. Our sitting positions are such that my two friends are facing each other, and I am in between, facing a big TV.

As soon as the meeting finished, he came to his room and saw his two friends, Arpit Khurana and Karan Aluwalia. He walked towards them, opening his blazer and throwing it onto the sofa, loosening his tie, and sitting down with his legs spread out. His back leaned against the sofa, and he closed his eyes.

"Hmm, here you go," Karan said, handing a cigarette he had been puffing on earlier. Mayank looked at it, held it between his fingers, inhaled a long puff of smoke, and then exhaled it with a sigh.

He continued smoking while his friends were engaged: Karan lighting up another cigarette and Arpit busy with his phone.

"So, how's the day been, man?" Karan asked while inhaling.

"Good. The new project is going to be hugely profitable," Mayank said, taking another puff.

"Good to hear," they heard arpit 's voice. "Well, who did you fire today?" he asked, noticing the slight tired and annoyed expression on Mayank's face.

Mayank looked at him, exhaled, and said, "Some people don't deserve to be part of Malhotra's."

He tapped the cigarette on the edge of the bowl to drop the ash.

"Well, Mayank, don't you think that's a bit harsh? We all know how hard it is to get into this company. They do immense hard work to get here, and you just terminate them in a second. That's harsh," Karan said, looking at Mayank.

"Staying in this company or leaving is in the employees' hands. The way they handle situations, they face the consequences accordingly," he said, exhaling while his face was tilted upwards towards the office ceiling.

Karan sighed. "Well, we can't do anything about this," he said, stopping the topic.

Karan looked at Arpit, who was still busy with his phone. "Bro, take a puff," Karan said, handing the cigarette.

"No need, thank you," Arpit said, declining the offer. Karan raised his eyebrows.

"Are you going on a date today?" As soon as he said this, Mayank rolled his eyes. "In love, sick guy."

Arpit chuckled and shook his head. "No, I'm not. I just have to pick up my sister from the airport," he said.

Karan took the cigarette and crushed it into the bowl. "Well, if I'm not wrong, you recently picked up your sister last week, didn't you?"

"Yes, I did, but this time my other sister is coming. She had some work, so she had to stay there."

After listening to Arpit, Karan was shocked and said, "Bro, are you serious? Someone prioritized work over coming to Arpana Di's wedding? That's amazing. Well, I'm looking forward to meeting your sister," Karan said with enthusiasm.

"Sure, you can."

"So, is there any problem with having a cigarette and picking up your sister?" Mayank asked, not understanding the combination of words.

Arpit looked at him and said, "Yes, my sister is sensitive to the smell."

He was slightly offended by the bragging over not puffing a cigarette.

"I see," was all Mayank said.

"Well, Mayank, Dadaji said to come home and bring that little lion as well."

At the words "little lion," a giggle escaped Karan's mouth. "Well, it's been almost a week since I last saw him. Where is he?"

"Where should he be? In his football practice, or the gym, or maybe doing something mischievous," Mayank said in a calm tone.

"Well, I'm going to meet that guy tomorrow at your place, right?" he asked, looking at Arpit, who nodded.

"Guys, I need to leave," he said, taking his blazer in his hand. "She will be here in a while."

He was about to leave when Karan asked, "What's her name?"

Arpit looked at him raised his eyesbrow.

I mean your sister name, karan said. After listening him he nodded .
...

"Ayati,"

Arpit said, bidding them goodbye.

"Well, nice name, isn't it?" he said to Mayank.

Mayank, who was looking in a pointless direction, turned his head when he heard Karan.

He nodded. "Yes, it is."

"Ayati," he tested her name on his tongue. "Ayati."
