"Cousins are those who somehow share the same blood line by our parents. They are siblings , friends, support system, "

After taking a bath, she came into the room and sat on the bed. She looked around surprised, shocked, happy, and curious gazes.

She got up and opened the wardrobe. She took out a pair of clothes, feeling the softness of the fabric, just like her own clothes. She was shocked and in denial, wondering how these people had collected all the clothes matching her preferences.

Her eyes moved to the right side of the bed, where a big, beautiful bookshelf was arranged. Her legs moved her towards it, and her hand automatically opened the glass door of the shelf and took out one book. A small smile appeared on her lips as her fingers caressed the book cover, inhaling the new book smell .

Her room had a gorgeous interior, and she did not forget to notice a big frame hanging on the wall above the head of the bed. The frame had the same picture as her room in London had:

her family frame.

The room had a balcony that provided a perfect view of the moon and the sky.

And now, her quickened heart found peace. her face had a calm and peaceful expression. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and inhaling the fragrance of the room, which calmed even her lungs.

Soon, her peace was broken by her little one who came screaming into the room.

"Wow! Di, you have such a beautiful room," she said, plopping onto the bed and relaxing her body.

Ayu smiled and opened her arms. The little one jumped off the bed and crashed into her arms, making her stumble.

"How are you, my tiny?" she asked her younger sister.

"I'm good, Di, having so much fun! Do you know, last week we went to so many places and had amazing experiences," she said in a joyful tone.

"Well, that's good," Ayu said, making her sit on the bed and starting to dry her own hair while sitting at the dressing table.

"Didu," Reev said, catching her attention.

She turned. "Yes, tell me. Why is your hair so long? Why isn't my hair like that?" she asked, pouting.

"That's because Di takes care of her hair, unlike you, who always wants to try new hairstyles or coloring," Reesh said, coming into the room and plopping beside Reev.

This made Reev roll her eyes.

"How was your week without us, Di?" she asked, making Ayu stop what she was doing.

Ayu looked at them and said, "Good. I was busy with work."

"Work? Di, does that mean you handled that big family event?" Reev asked making Reesh tap her back.

"Mhm," she replied. "And I'm happy they are satisfied with our agency's work."

"Well, who wouldn't be?" Reesh said, knowing how her sister excelled at her work.

"I don't," a stern voice came from the door, making their heads turn.

"I'm not satisfied with this," Arpana said, entering the room.

Her eyes turned from Reesh to Ayu. "And you, Miss Brilliant Event Organizer, do you have any guilt for not prioritizing your own sister's wedding?" she said, glaring at Ayu.

Ayu tried to muster the strength to form a sentence that could answer her, but she failed, only managing to look at her with troubled eyes.

It made her brain freeze. She didn't know how to handle her eldest sister after all these years.

"I need an answer, Miss Khurana. Don't be like this. Speak and explain," Arpi said with raised eyebrows.

The moment was interrupted by Reev and Reesh, who tried to say something in defense of their sister but kept their mouths shut after a glare from the eldest one.

Seeing her little ones quiet, Ayu tried to come out of her shell and said, "Di, it's not like that. Your wedding is important to me."

This was the only sentence she could form.

Arpi looked at her sad face from the corner of her eyes, which melted her heart. "Are you going to prioritize something else over me again?" she said, her voice full of warning.

This made Ayu look into her eyes and face, and she said in a very soft voice, "No."

Arpi smiled and took her into her arms, making Ayu feel like she was caged in a trap. The hug was tight, squeezing her bones, and it made her uncomfortable, invading her personal space.

But she knew how Indians show their love and affection. It's an Indian thing. She sighed and waited for her to let go of the hug.
Seeing this, both little ones hugged each other with wide smiles.

"If my Khurana sisters are done with their sister moment, may I come in?" a voice came from the door, causing them to separate from each other's arms.

"No, get out," Arpi said to Arpit, who was standing at the door.

This made Arpit roll his eyes and enter the room anyway. He looked at Ayu and smiled.

"Well, if you guys are forgetting, she just landed here and is still on an empty stomach," he said, pointing at Ayu, who was listening and looking at him as well.

"Oh! I forgot. Badi Ma is making amazing food," Reev said, making a face like she was tasting the food.

"You know di... Reev trying to say

No budy knows ,just go downstairs for food. Dadi Ma is calling all of you. Go fast," he said in an encouraging voice, trying to make them run for food.

"Okay, I'm going. And yes, now that you are here, we will go shopping and do lots of things," Arpana said in an excited voice, which made Arpit pull a face.

"Okay, now come on," she said, taking her two little munchkins along.

As soon as they left, Arpit turned his head to face Ayu and smiled, making Ayu smile as well.

"I hope you will feel comfortable," he said in his usual gentle and calm tone he used with Ayu.

Ayu looked at him and nodded. He kept his hand on her head. "Come, everyone is waiting."

As soon as he mentioned "everyone," her eyes went wide, and her heartbeat quickened. She swallowed thickly, and Arpit noticed.

He looked at her and said, "Baccha, he is not here. Don't worry, just come, okay?" He tried to calm her.

"Okay, I'm going. Take your time," he said and went from there, leaving an anxious soul behind.
