"Friendship is certainly about being there in times of pain, but it's also about caring for each other's happiness."

In a large mansion, in a room, an old man was lying on a bed, and beside him was his friend. The friend who had always stood by him, who had held his hand at every step, who had not only supported him but also sacrificed his family's peace for him.
His dear friend,
Ajay Khurana,sat beside him.

"Tell me, which clothes will you wear for Arpi's engagement, these or these?"
he said, taking out some clothes from bags he had bought from the mall.
His friend looked at the clothes and said,
"The pink one."
Hearing this, Ajay made a face and said,
"Are you crazy? This will look good?"
"Look," Ajay said, taking out a golden and blue sherwani.

"Why ask if you had already decided?" His friend said, with an exasperated
look.

"So you can't say I didn't ask you."
Ajay said, handing him the cloth to feel the texture.

"Hmm, it's nice.
You’ll wear something similar, right?"

"No, I'll wear a different color but the same design."

"That's right, otherwise people will think we're a couple."
His friend said in a laughing tone, which made Ajay halt his actions and glare at him.

"Stop talking nonsense and tell me,
Where's Bhabhi?"
As he said this, a woman in her 60s entered with soup and medicine on a plate.
"I'm here, Ajay Bhaiya."
She said as she entered the room.

They looked at her and said,
"Where were you? You know he's bothering me."
Mukul said to his wife Manisha, who raised her eyebrows and looked at her husband.

"Bothering? And Bhaiya, that's your job."
She said, and smirked chukled an escaped from Ajay's mouth.

"Listen, Bhabhi, I brought these clothes for him, and he likes this pink one." He said, showing her the clothes.

She looked at it and smiled.
"Pink? No, no Mukul, you should wear this one; it will look good."
She said, taking the same suit Ajay had selected.

Mukul looked at it and sighed, knowing that both dever and bhabhi were always on the same team.

She then started feeding him soup with a spoon.

Ajay was gathering all the clothes and packing them back into the bag.

"Bhaiya," hearing this, he stopped and looked at Mukul and Manisha.

"We know they came home today."
She said in a soft voice, not wanting to make him uncomfortable.

"It's been years, Bhaiya. It will never be easy for us to forget those things, but years have passed.

Time has passed, circumstances have changed. We've grown old and the children have grown up.

Mukul and I have thought it's time to move on with life, and we hope you do too."
She said in a very calm, composed tone, trying hard not to recall all those things again which broke their family apart.

Ajay looked at Mukul, who nodded and smiled.

"Ajay, I know you've always been hard on yourself, but enough is enough. We have a little life left. Let's spend it with love, shall we?" he said.Who looked away upon hearing them.

Mukul sighed.
Ajay didn’t look at him.
“Ajay,” he called again.
“Aja... Huuhh... Huhhh cough... cough...”

He started coughing, which made Ajay move to him and rub his back quickly. When his cough subsided, Ajay helped him drink water, and Manisha handed him the medicine, which he made Mukul take as well.

When the environment had calmed up a bit,
“See, I told you, there’s only a little time left.”
Mukul said, showing his thumb and forefinger making a small space.

“Tell me, will you listen to me?”
Manisha and Mukul both looked at him. “Tell us, Bhaiya.”

Manisha said.

“Hmm,” Ajay said.

“Yes, so why are you still sitting here? Go now.”
Mukul said in an exasperated tone.

Ajay looked at him and nodded.

“Take care of yourself.”

“Yes, I will.”

“Alright, Bhabhi?”
She nodded, and he left from there.

As Ajay left, manish looed at his husband.

“Did we do the right thing?” she asked, looking at her husband, who spread his arms to embrace her.

She rested her head on his chest, and tears slid down her cheeks.

“Yes, we did the right thing. What we lost can never come back, but it would be foolish to push away what we still have, right?”

She nodded, and he caressed her head."Everything will be alright now.
Nothing will go wrong."
Mukul thought to himself.
