♡Inayah's pov ♡
"Why does this taste so much better than it usually does?" I muffle a moan as I take another bite of my pastry.
Shockingly, the cafe did have few of them left. But I don't know why but they taste as if they have been baked fresh again.
"That's weird." Arhaan says looking at me from his driver's seat.
"You sure you don't want a bite?"
"I'm good love." He smiles back.
"Ok then." I shrug off, as I enjoy the last pieces left. Some of the crumbs falling from my lips onto my dress as I try to shrug them off, sensing his gaze I look at him. His pupils were dilated, almost completely obscuring the darkness of his eyes as he kept his gaze fixed on me.
His expression soft, filled with tenderness that I discovered recently held a warm intensity that could melt the iciest heart.
Is currently melting my heart.
And as if to secure the new build warmth in my body forever, he leaned in as I close my eyes. My heart raced as I waited, lips slightly parted, head tilted up ever so slightly in anticipation. I held my breath, hoping for the moment I had unknowingly been craving.
Cheeks flushed red, embarrassement flowing through my whole body as he gently brushes his thumb against my cheek, wiping away a stray crumb from the pastry I was enjoying.
I know what he's expression will be when i open my eyes, oh how well I know that. Mask of subtle satisfaction freezing up his face, the corners of his lips curving upwards in a knowing smile. I know he would be looking like he exudes confidence, as though he would be savoring a secret joy. The sparkle in his eyes will hold a hint of slyness, like he was silently relishing in my flustered state.
"Trésor?" He mumbles, muffling his grin.
Oh God.
"Mhm?"
"Open up your pretty eyes."
As I finally open them, I see the we'll known smirk already present there as I groan mentally.
"Did you think I was going to kiss you or something?" he asked, a smirk still playing on his lips. "Were you that eager for a kiss from me?"
"I never said that." I say looking away, trying to hide the blush that was forming on my face. Again.
Arhaan chuckled, probably enjoying my flustered attempts to hide the blush.
"You didn't have to say it. It was written all over your face," he teased. "You expected me to kiss you, didn't you? You were waiting for it, all eager and desperate."
"Shut up." I mumble out embarrassed.
His smirk widened even more, loving every second of my embarrassment.
