Active Time (Spellcasting) - how long a spell is active in blinks
Anti-Arka Cuffs (Ahr-caw) - an Ortai device that allows non-Ortai to go into high-arkegy areas without dying
Anti-Arka Salve (Ahr-caw) - a salve that neutralizes arka and stimulates natural healing
Anti-Teleport Barrier - a barrier that prevents people from teleporting past it
Antisuit (Anti-suit) - (aka anti-arka suit), protects the user from arkegy
Aquatic Rokatreat (Row-caw-treat) - a substance made from rosalet needles that's used to kill Ortai-affecting parasites and pathogens (in liquid arka)
Arka (Ahr-caw) - a group of crystalline substances that can hold and/or produce arkegy
Arka Forge (Ahr-caw) - a forge powered by gaseous or liquid arka
Arka Gun (Ahr-caw) - an Ortai device that fires an arka blast that stuns Arkane organisms and kills non-Arkane organisms
Arka Meter (Ahr-caw) - a device capable of sensing the ambient arkegy
Arka Suppression Collar (Ahr-caw) - a device that prevents the wearer from using magic
Arkatype (Ahr-caw-type) - the arka's variety
Arkane (Ahr-cane) - of or relating to arka
Arkegy (Ahr-keh-gee) - Arkane energy
Arkegy Converter (Ahr-keh-gee) - a device that converts arkegy from one type to another
Arkegy Line (Ahr-keh-gee) - power lines used to conduct arkane energy
Artifact (Enchanting) - movable enchanted objects that often have an innate purpose even before being enchanted, such as weapons, armor, tools, and jewelry
Avatar - the term Ortai use to describe 'mimics'
Audio Block - a device that blocks the audio in an area (and sometimes replaces it with pre-recorded audio)

Backdoor (Spellcasting) - a page on the Interface that's only available to Ortai
Base State (Spellcasting) - the state of the target at a specified time
Binding Oath - a type of spell that forces one or more parties to fulfill certain conditions
Bir Ortai Rip Osal Barn Kesamet. Osalka Bir Mo Vangorn. (Beer Or-t-eye Reep Oh-sall Bahrn Keh-sah-met. Oh-sahl-kah Beer Mow Vahn-gorn) - "We Ortai now claim our weapons. Return us to Vangorn."; an activation phrase for the 'safety net' teleportation spell in Silvervale, Washington
Bontair (Bahn-t-air) - the language of magic, capable of manipulating Essence to control the physical world
Burn Arkegy (Ahr-keh-gee) - to spend arkegy (typically to cast a spell)

Caloth (Cahl-oath) - the most basic type of sapmix fabric
Catalyst (Enchanting) - have no inherent use aside from turning assorted ingredients into magical potions, salves, and serums
