Jack held the mask in his hands. He and Stolas stood in the prince's office. Stolas had just handed him the mask. He looked it up and down with curiosity.

Stolas: "I do apologize for not coming up with something like this sooner. I understand the temporary replacement I gave you was difficult to see through."

Jack: "No, it's fine. You've done a lot for me. Honestly, it's getting hard to think of a way to pay you back."

Stolas: "No need. You being here to be a friend to Via and helping my dear Blitzy is enough for me."

Jack: "So... how does this thing work?"

He was referring to the mask. Jack handed the object to Stolas, who began to explain the mask's mystical properties.

Stolas: "This mask here has been enchanted with similar properties to that of a magical disguise. When you wear it, you will assume the disguise of an ordinary demon, as long as the mask stays on and isn't damaged, of course."

The prince handed the object back to Jack. He gestured for the man to try it on. Jack nodded and placed the mask on his face. From his perspective, nothing changed. He looked down at his hands and found them to still be the same. Stolas chuckled.

Stolas: "You wouldn't be able to notice the change from your own eyes. Try looking in the mirror."

With a wave of the royal owl's hand, a handheld mirror appeared. Jack took it and looked at his reflection. The mask had truly worked. Jack looked like an entirely different person. He looked back and forth between the mirror and Stolas in amazement.

Jack: "Whoa... I-I'm an imp!? That's so cool!"

The man turned to Stolas and thanked him with a kind of childish enthusiasm. He felt like a kid having a brand new toy. The grin faded as he felt his phone buzz from his pocket. The man reluctantly pulled it out and saw his boss's contact on screen.

Jack: "*Sigh* Yeah, Blitz?"

Blitzø: (Heeey, kid. Look, I kinda need you to run a few errands for me.)

Jack: "Me? You can't get anyone else to do this?"

Blitzø: (Nope! The M&Ms are doing who knows what, and my Loonie is still getting her beauty sleep.)

Jack: "Alright, fine. What do you need?"

The human waved goodbye to the prince as he listened to the rattling on from his boss on the phone. As he closed the main doors behind him and left the mansion property, Blitzø had finished his long essay of errands.

Jack: "Ok, how do you expect me to remember all that? Also, a lot of those things were weirdly horse related."

Blitzø: (Oh, don't worry! I texted you the list so you wouldn't forget!)

Jack: "*Sigh* Course you did. Alright... I'll be back in a bit."

Jack turned off his phone and shoved it back in his pocket. Oh, what he would give to be in bed sleeping on a Saturday. Instead, he had to run around town doing stupid little jobs for his boss.
