Ch. 20: Welcome To The Family (Part 2)

The two imps looked at one another as Jack closed the front door, bringing along the small hellhound pup. Moxxie couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as he heard the click of the door.

Moxxie: "Should we, um... stop him?"

Millie: "I don't... I don't know. Maybe it's fine?"

Moxxie: "But what if they run into trouble!?"

Millie: "I, um... I think they'll be ok?"

The two imps shared unsure looks with one another. Meanwhile, with Jack and Bell. The man pulled out the list on his phone, so "graciously" provided by his boss. He could feel the curious eyes of the hellhound pup over his shoulder.

Bell: "What is all that scribbly stuff?"

Jack: "Just a list. I gotta get it done today for my boss. So that's what we're going to do while the M&Ms do some grown-up stuff."

Bell: "Grown up stuff?"

Jack: "Yeah. Just a bunch of talking and boring stuff like that.

Bell: "Oh..."

Jack: "Anyway, here we are at our first item on the list!"

The young pup looked up across the street to find a strange store of sorts. All the windows were mysterious boarded up. He tapped Jack's head with a question.

Bell: "Do we have to go? That place is scary."

Jack: : "I know, but you can brave for me, right?

Bell: "I think so... but why do we have to go in there?"

Jack pulled out his phone and reread the list. His eyes stopped at the item and questioned and sighed.

Jack: "... A horse saddle."

Bell: "*Gasp* Does your boss have a horsey!?"

Jack: "U-Um, sure, yeah."

Bell: "That's so cool! I've never seen a horsey before!"

The pair stood across from the store. Jack reached into his hoodie pocket for something.

Bell: "Watcha doin'?"

Jack: "I'm about to show you something really cool. Watch this."

Jack pulled out the mask he was given from Stolas. With a swift motion, he switched the masks. A blue flame engulfed his person and faded within a few seconds. Bell covered his eyes from the sudden blinding light.

Jack: "Check it out!"

The pup slowly moved his hands away and was met with a strange sight. The person's shoulders he was sitting on were completely different than before. The face of a mysterious imp looked back at him. The demon smiled with a goofy grin, his voice matching that of Jack's.

Jack: "Cool, right?"

Bell: "WHOA! How did you do that!?"
