"Oh... I just remembered. Where is Lekha? Why isn't she here yet?" Yamuna asked while looking around. Trying to trace the familiar figure there.

"Yeah... I had never heard about her after graduating. I thought we could meet her here." Jasmine said while remembering an enthusiastic teenager in her memory.

"The last time we met was on the day of final exam, right? I remember we went for outing after leaving school." Harsha looked at them with a little confusion.

Divya adjusted her son's sleeping position and silently listened to their conversation. After making sure that her child is comfortable, she looked at her three friends and asked, "You guys really don't know what happened to her?"

"Huh? What's wrong?"

"What to knew?"

"Did anything happen to her?"

Jasmine along with Yamuna and Harsha turned to Divya in confusion and surprise.

Divya looked at their foolish face and paused before continuing.

"As you knew, Lekha's father was the owner of a leading construction company. With many properties and vast resources. He donated huge amounts to our school too."

"The whole school knew her family background. She is the proud daughter of heaven." Yamuna nodded her head.

"Yeah, she was. But now, she is a daily wage worker. Married to a rickshaw driver and have a child too." Divya sighed...

"What!!!???" Jasmine gazed at Divya in shock.

"You heard it right. From the day after our graduation, Lekha's father's construction company went bankrupt. He was actually engaged in illegal trade practices and all of them were exposed one after another by an unknown. His properties was sealed and his company was shut down."

"Her dad couldn't take the blow and had a heartattack. Within a month, he passed away. Leaving Lekha and her mom with some of his savings. But most of it was spent on his debts and Lekha and mother were left in streets." Divya shook her head in pity in the end, while remembering the prosperous life of Lekha's family in the past.

"Life is unpredictable..." Harsha murmured.

"Amar, I just got their call. They are here. Is everything ready?" Athul asked after ch checking on the teachers who agreed to come here today.

"It's all ready... Hey, Freddy! Tell them to prepare cool drinks and snacks." Amar said while walking out with Athul and others to welcome their former teachers.

They both walked towards the office building while discussing about the preparations. Before they arrived there, they met another person who was standing beside the HSE building and paused when she noticed them.

This person was so much familiar to them as she appears on magazine and news from time to time. Amar and Athul were both surprised and delighted, "Deepa Lakshmi!" They both approached her and exchanged greetings.

"Hello Deepa! It's nice to see you again, I am Amar Rahman."

Deepa looked at the tall figure before her and indeed found him in her past memories. "It's my pleasure." She smiled back politely.

"This is Athul, our former class leader."

"Hi" Deepa nodded at him in greetings.

"Others are inside the auditorium. Are you going there or see around?" Amar asked.

"Uhm.. I think I will join shortly. I would like to see around first." Deepa said. She don't have anyone she is eager to meet, so it's not a problem to go there later. The main reason she came here now was to once again see this place which has a major role in her past.

"Okay then. You carry on. Good luck." Amar and Athul left soon to welcome the teachers who are already there.

Deepa entered inside the building and slowly explored the same paths she once did as a teenager. The walls of the classrooms were painted, hiding lots of signs written by the former students. These walls has so many stories to tell... Every walls do...

After the first floor, Deepa went to the second floor where the Office room, and biology practical labs is situated. Walking through the corridor, memories of past seems to visualising before her.

As Deepa took each step forward, she can see her teen self walking towards her alone even when the entire place was filled with her own classmates and acquaintances.

The Deepa of past and present smiled at each other...

Both of them went in opposite directions after wishing eachother goodluck and congrats.

We did it, Dr. Deepa.
