Ambika and Akhila were sitting on the swing, and flipping through their old albums. Including memories from their youth.
"Look at this one, Akhila. Do you remember this?" Ambika showed a black and white photo which was taken about forty years ago.
In the photo was Akhila when she was young. She was standing in the courtyard of this house, carrying a two year old boy in her arms. The child was looking like he had cried a lot, his eyes were blurry and his lips were pouting.
"Haha, isn't this my little Anil? He was crying because his brother didn't give him mangoes!!!" Akhila held the photo in her arms and she couldn't control her smile.
"Yeah, that was the time when we harvested mangoes from our plot. But those weren't ripened yet, so Abhishek refused to give it to him!! He cried the whole day because of this, hahaha!!" Ambika was too immersed in laughter as she remembered that day.
"Ambika, my baby boy was too cute and bubbly back then. Look at him now, he is now forty-four and still a bachelor. Always keeping a poker face like people owes him tens of billions!!
You know something, i thought he liked men as he doesn't have any interest in women." Akhila whispered the last sentence in Ambika's ears.
"Woah!" Ambika covered her mouth in shock.
"I even showed him photos of some nice boys.But.... he is not a gay." Akhila sighed in disappointment.
"Pfttt---" Ambika laughed out loud. Akhila is same as always!!
"But I am not going to give up. I will definitely get him married this year at all costs!!!" Akhila straightened her back in determination and clenched her fist as she is gonna start a war.
"Alright. Let's hope, Sree Ram will send his woman soon." Ambika said as she sincerely wished for that in her heart.
**sil...sil...sil**
The tiny bells of a delicate anklet echoed suddenly, as a beautiful lady glided down the stairs.
Ambika and Akhila glanced at the source of the chiming of the bells, only to see a woman in her mid twenties in a simple brown satin saree with white half sleeve blouse, her hair was tied into a ponytail, and face was flawless without any makeup, just a small black bindi between her brows.
