At the monastery

Lloyd rolled over and checked the time, 11:30pm. He couldn't sleep, the first Spinjitu masters words circled in his head. Eden had been staying in his room for the past month that she was here, she wasn't asleep either.

"Hey, Eden,"  Lloyd said walking over to the spare bed they had set up

E "Yea?"

L "I couldn't sleep, you?"

E "Me neither,"

L "What's keeping you up?"

E "Kai, I don't think he likes me,"

L "he's really over protective of me, did I explain wat happened with harumi?" He asked siting down next to her, she had sat up when Lloyd started talking to her.

Lloyd explained the story and they both were laughing and giggling at the whole situation,

E "she seemed like a bitch,"

L "she was, I have no clue where she is now tho. Well we better get back to sleep," Lloyd said, starting to walk away.

Eden asked where he was going,

"Ima go into the front room, wanna come?"

"Sure!"

When they walked into the room, they found arin watching tv, wide awake.

"Whacha doing kid?" Lloyd asked.

"I couldn't sleep, what are you doing awake?"

"We couldn't sleep either,"

The three sat down on the sofa and watched tv for a while. Lloyd had fallen asleep and was now leaning on Eden's shoulder. She. Priced how hot he was he getting and wondered why he was wearing a long sleeve top in the middle of summer. She propped him forward and arin pointed out the fresh, magenta blood stains on the back of his lime green top.

"What's that?" Arin asked

"It's blood, why is there blood?" She responded with confusion and concern in her voice.

Her and arin propped the still asleep Lloyd up and lifted up the back of his top. They saw his back covered in small, golden scales. there were bleeding chunks cut out, like they had been dug out of his skin. Others looked like they had been cut in half with scissors. He had some spots where they hadn't grown back and had left him with patchy scars. She came to the conclusion that he must have done it so many times that the tissue had become so traumatised that it had permanent, irreversible damage. They pulled his top off to check his arm from the other day. It had mostly healed, but on the other arm the two of them spotted small, deep, dried cuts, littered an his forearm that looked like they had been made with a knife or blade, whatever they were caused by, it wasn't a training or battle injury.

"Oh Lloyd, what have you done too yourself," Eden muttered under her breath
"Arin, go get Zane, now"

Arin nodded and ran into the other room while Eden looked for some sort of antibac wipes and bandages. He walked back in with Zane following closely behind. Zane saw what was going and immediately rushed into the kitchen. He came back, carrying a big clear box in his arms.

They said nothing for a while while they patched up Lloyd. Arin was the first to speak up.

"Is he ok? Mentally and physically?"

"He'll be fine, his cuts will heal, but, he's not in the best state with his mental health," Zane responded with a frown on his face.

"Why doesn't he go to therapy?" Eden asked

"We don't have the time or money, and he refuses to go, he feels like a burden"

A few hours later

Lloyd had been left on the sofa when he woke up. He had bandages round his torso both arms. He sat up and went to his room to get changed. He walked out into the onto the court yard where everyone was ready to go out on mergequake patrol. Eden and arin ran ku to his and hugged him tightly, Eden buried her head into his shoulder.

"What's going on?" Lloyd asked.

"You can talk to us you know, right?" She said.

"Oh, look is isn't any of you guy, I just-" he was caught off guard with a kiss.

Kai was scowling at the situation, unable to stop thinking about how she would inevitably turn on them.

They had gone out in teams; nya, Zane and sora went west, Kai, Cole and wildfire went north, and Eden, arin and Lloyd went east.

In imperium

LR: doctor, have you a plan to capture the hybrid ninja?

DL: yes my lord, we have come up with an algorithm that can predict a merge quake with a 150^2m variable (150 square meters), we have also predicted accuracy the ninjas patrol patterns, a group of three are heading to the east, where we have an army set up, they are the Oni that escaped when the others did, a small kid who will be easy to pick off, and of course the hybrid. His power will be ours in no time,

Lr: very good doctor larow,

DL: may I just ask sir, my lord and master, what you plan to use his power for?

Lr: he has the power of a source dragon that could power our sity for the rest of time, and the power of the overlord, the most powerful Oni there is, it would make us unstoppable will the pure power of destruction, we could take over all the merged realms, then we would rule everything,

DL: I love your thinking my lord, I shall set up and prepare the draining device,

Lr: one more thing, have you created the
Oni-ite chains yet?

DL: yes sir, I have supplied every soldier with 5 meters of it along with 500 ml of Oni tranquillisers aswell, we are prepared, we have the advantage of a surprise attack aswell, the merged lands will be ours in no time,

The two cackled evils as the ninja walked into an inescapable trap that would cost them more than they could ever know...

Hiya sweeties! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've had a really busy week and haven't been able to write.

You read the title right! I'm in the final stages of this book! It feels amazing to be nearing the end, but also really sad, I have a list of other books I wanna write so follow me if you wanna be notified about that! (it's 90% Lloyd angst so if you like this you might like them!)
