Lloyd had fallen asleep again in Kai's arms after a while. Arin and Nya had been training for the rest of the evening using the training equipment on hand. It wasn't much more than a few training dummys and some spare weapons that needed sharpening. When they arrived back, they had the wake Lloyd up. he wasn't very pleased when he was woken up, but he was pleased they were home. They stepped of the bounty and were greeted with...

... "Cole!" Kai screamed, running into his boyfriends arms,
"Hey babe, miss me?"
"I was fucking worried!"
They went into the other room as to give some privacy, they had some, reacquainting to do. 😏

"Yea, he turned up on your way home, and we thought we'd leave it as a surprise for Kai," Zane said, walking up to the others.
"Oh, and Lloyd," he continued

"Hm?" He said, his attention now grabbed

"There's someone in the other room waiting for you,"

Arin and Nya followed lloyd into the back room of the monastery, the one where Wu usually meditated.
He creaked open the older door and there she was. Lloyd was taking aback by her presence.
??? "Hello Lloyd,"

L "The hell are you doing here?!"
She ignored the question and turned to face Arin.

??? "Oh hello dear child, are you lost?"

Before Arin could even move, Lloyd put his arm up in front of him.

??? "So you've turned to kidnapping children now,"

L "what do you mean by that exactly,"

??? "I just don't see how anyone would go with you willingly, that's all"
She said, gesturing to Lloyd's horns and teeth.

L "Arins parents are dead, or missing at least, and he came here on his own accord,
And you will be gone from these grounds by the next hour!"

??? "That is no way to speak to your mother Lloyd Montgomery garmodon! I brought you into this world! And I can take you out of it!"
Nya had shuffled her and arin out of the room but everyone, including zane, sora and Eden were at the door listening in.

"Why does Lloyd hate her so much? It is his mum after all?" Sora asked.
"She abandoned him at a boarding school so she could go and do research," Zane replied
"She must have done it for his own good though, right?"

Eden stared through the key hole. She, like the ninja, was human too. No ears or fangs, or even horns. Just a normal person.

L "Take me out of it then! Cus all the times I've tried, it FUCKING FAILED! Then you'd take me to the hospital pretending you knew nothing about it!"

"Lloyd what?!" Arin whispered to the rest of them. "How old was he!"
"Between 9 and now" Nya responded, her shaky voice barely able to get the words out her mouth"

L "ARIN AND SORA GAVE ME SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR AND ALL YOUVE GIVEN ME IS RESONS TO DIE! AND YOU PRETEND YOU UDIDNT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT?!?!?"

M "Because I didn't!"

L "YOU TOOK PLYERS TO MY FACE AND YOU CALL THAT NOTHING?!?!"

M "I was trying to give you a semi normal life, it's not my fault your teeth and horns grow back,"

L "and you think it's mine!"

M "it's your dna,"

L "SO YOU THINK THAT STABBING ME IS A SUITABLE PUNISHMENT?!"

M "stop speaking such lies!"

L "IF I EVEN EXISTED YOU WOULD STAB ME IN MY ARM AND TELL ME THAT I SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF MY SELF"

M "because you should! Your nothing more than a little freaky monster, just like your father,"

L "YEA WELL AT LEAST MY FATHER LOVES ME!"

That was the last thing he said before slamming the door after walking out. Lloyd sank down to the ground and hugged his knees, rocking back and forth, his purple eyes stinging with tears.

Sora's flashback

"I hate my parents so much!"
They had just left imperium and sora had had another run in with her parents.
"I know, I know" Lloyd tried to sympathize

"No! You will never know! I bet you had a perfect upbringing because you're the all mighty green ninja!" She stormed out, running to her room. Lloyd stood there, drowning in traumatic memories.

End of flashback

Sora felt regret from that day. If she only knew.

Kai and Cole had come out from their room. "Hey buddy, you're ok now. Kai? I need you to get misako out of here, by force," Nya said, sitting beside Lloyd holding in her arms. His breathing was unsteady and shallow.
"Buddy, I'm going to have to get you to breathe, slow breaths, in and out, in and out." Nya continued.

"YOUR NOTHING BUT A FREAK! YOUR THE RESON YOUR FATHER ABANDONED US! HE ABANDONED YOU, YOU MONSTER!" Misako screamed in Lloyd's direction as Kai and his boyfriend were dragging her out. This was the last straw for Lloyd he darted over to his room and barricaded himself in with his dresser. All though his students knew he was part oni, he didn't want them to see him like this. He faced the full length mirror and saw a tall golden figure staring back at him through the reflection. Lloyd raised one fist back and smashed the glass, his arm acting as a pincushion for the shards, a deep dark purple oozing out his arm in numerous places. It dripped down, staining the green bedsheets that he had curled up on to.

Nya and Eden had darted to Lloyd's room but struggled to open the door.
"Shit! He's barricaded himself in!" Nya said right before they heard the sharp sound of shattering glass hitting the ground.
"Stand back," Eden told Nya. She placed two hands on the door.  Her eyes turned a pale purple, and she pushed the door open. That's when they came face to face with a golden oni, curled up on Lloyd's bed.

Hiya sweeties!!!! I'm so sorry for the delay but I had a comp over the weekend, I might not post much this week either as I have end of year tests this week (I live in the uk so I'm not sure if they happen at the same time as American ones 🫲🫤🫱). Sorry for the dark chapter as well,
