Act 7: Fear

By the time that I comprehended what happened, I was still shaking... Was this fear? I don't like the feeling. It made me scared to think that I, Yae Miko, could be afraid that my life was in danger. I didnt know why i was feeling this way, because as a Gujji, I always had my vision beside me. I would strike down any opponent that got in my way. But now, I was defenseless, relying on somebody to protect me. I felt useless...

Kafka tapped me on my shoulder, and I realized that I got caught up in my own thoughts. My eyes widened as I realized that Kafka saved me from a BULLET. "K-Kafka..." I sounded like a fool as I slowly said and replayed the scene over and over and over again, but each one got worse than the last. "Shhhhh" she said as she pressed her hand against my lips. My eyes got puffy as emotions swelled over my face. "Why cant I live a peaceful life!?" I shouted in disdain. "What's wrong with me?"

"Hey! Nothing's wrong with you!" Silverwolf shouted behind my back as Yae Sakura ran behind her. "I wish i could savor this moment with you, but we've got company..." Kafka said as she grabbed my hand harshly, and almost made me trip. I've never seen her this angry before... "RUN!!"

In a singular moment, the air tensed as we were running out of the city. Even though we were running extremely fast, the robot guards were still hot on our tail (quite literally for me and Yae Sakura). As Kafka and Silver wolf were busy with distracting the guards, I had 2 choices: Either make a run for it and leave them behind, or, fight till the end.

I obviously wanted to run from this weird place. But, an instinct told me not to. These were my "friends" after all, and I guess that friends stick with each other till the very end, even if it's bitter and not-so very sweet.
