It was the next day since the attack on camp. Everyone now awake, some dragging bodies, putting them in piles. Paige was sat with Carol and Lori, trying to ignore how dead bodies littered the ground.

Which was quite hard with the foul oder they gave off and filled the air with. Paige had no clue where Gale was, she wasn't in tent when she woke up and wasn't anywhere in sight. She was growing quite nervous, not knowing where her wife was after they just got attacked by walkers.

Umbyinunced to Paige, Gale sat at the trunk of a tree a ways away from camp. And she was SPIRALING. She hadn't slept a wink, too scared something would happen again.

If she had just kept her eyes on the group, not turning for a damn twig, she could have stopped that walker. She could have saved Blondies sister and been there to help camp quicker.

It was her fault they died. Her fault. Her fault. Her fault. HER FAULT. HER FAULT. HER FAULT- Gales head sprung up hearing the sound of leaves rustling and a stick snapping.

After a few moments, nothing happened so Gale looked back down to her lap. But then, she heard it again, making her stand quickly and whipping her head in all directions.

Then suddenly, she heard footsteps coming up behind her, she turned quickly, pulling out her knife but...there was no one there. Gale quickly realized what was happening, but she couldnt stop it..she started hearing the screams from last night.

Until it shifted..to the battlefield. She heard her men screaming in pain. She heard her men dying and begging for mercy. She heard explosions all around her. Then the overwhelming, ear pitching sound of gun fire.

She wanted to slap her hands over her ears, wanted to crawl into a ball on the ground. She wanted to scream. But she couldnt. She was completely frozen, stuck in place.

She saw something out out the corner of her eye, not being able to turn her head to see what it was. She was seeing them. The enemy. They were in the trees. They were all around her. They were everywhere, she heard them killing her men and there wasn't a damn thing she could do.

She continued seeing them run through the trees, making her start to hyperventilate. Her breath continued to pick up until she was fully gasping for air. She heard her men screaming her name in the distance.

It got louder, and louder until it sounded like it was right next to her. But she couldnt look. Her eyes were stuck on the trees ahead of her. She couldnt even move when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Then another on the other.

She stayed stuck as the hands tried to pull her to face their direction. Eventually the body they were attached too moved in front of her, blocking her line of sight. It began shaking her and yelling her name.

But she just couldnt see who it was, it was as if she was looking straight through their body. She was able to inhale through her nose, and everything stopped.

No more noise. No more shadows in the trees. Nothing. She smelt him first. The aroma of pine and cheap cologne filling her nose. Then she saw the outline of his shaggy brown hair. Eventually his face came into focus, and his bright blue eyes staring into hers, filled with concern.

She looked down to his neck, seeing the half heart necklace they shared. It was him. It was Daryl. Soon his voice broke through the muffled sounds around her. It was him who had been calling her name.

"GALE." He said sternly one last time before she completely broke. She fell into his arms, letting him bring her down to the ground in a hug. She laid her head on his shoulder as he rubbed her back, shushing and soothing her.
