Paige was terrified. Ever since T-Dogs voice came through the radio saying they were all stuck in Atlanta shed been a wreck.

First she fought Shane, kicking and screaming trying to go into Atlanta on her own. Then she locked herself in Gales truck and sobbed for an hour. Then she ran off into the forest to try and find Daryl and convince him to go to Atlanta with her- which didn't end up happening as Shane dragged her back to camp within the first three minutes.

And now she sat on the ground at the edge of the path which lead to Atlanta, just waiting, tear stains and all. Shed been there for over an hour, worrying without end.

Her racing thoughts which were causing tears to start rising again were cut short by Carls voice. "Here" he suddenly said, handing her a granola bar, Paige reached out, taking the granola bar slowly with a confused face. "dont worry it doesnt have peanuts i checked four times and had mom check twice!" he said wearing his goofy little smile.

He always made sure everything Paige ever ate or drank didnt have peanuts, which she appreciated greatly. You'd figure being allergic to something so commonly used would make you pay more attention to what you consumed but apparently not!

Paige rarely checked the ingredients of things, a if she didnt see the peanuts they couldnt see her type situation. Which rarely worked...okay it never worked.

"thanks sweetie" she said thankfully, "you need to eat Paige, a full tummy means a happy tummy and a happy tummy means a happy brain! remember?" he said while sitting next to her.

Paige was Carls teacher before the fall, she used to tell him that when he didn't wanna eat the healthy lunch his mom packed him and it became a common saying between the two.

"ya, i remember, thank you honey." she said smiling back at him before opening her snack and taking a few bites. There was a small pause, before Carl said quietly "Paige?" "ya buddy?" "is Gale gonna be okay?" he asked, voice wavering as his lip quivered.

Paiges eyes grew big, setting down her snack before reaching out and grabbing his small face with both hands. "Of course she is baby, Gale has gone through so much and made it back to us every single time, right?" "Right." "See? Shes gonna be fine bud, i promise." "Okay, I love you Paige" "I love you too honey"

They heard Loris voice call his name out, saying it was time for his haircut. Carl groaned hearing this and looked up at Paige with his puppy eyes. "Nope! The queen said it's time for a haircut, you better get over there before she sends her knight in shining armor over here." she said giggling and sending him farewell with a quick kiss on the top of his head.

She watched him get up and walk over his mom, dragging his feet and complaining- which made her giggle as she turned back and faced the trail. Her smile slowly disappeared as she remembered why she was sitting there.

A few more minutes passed before an annoying ringing in Paiges ears started. It got louder in the next few moments, and looking around seeing others reacting to it too made her realize it wasn't in her head.

And it wasn't a ring, it was an alarm, she quickly stood up and looked out onto the trail seeing a red car racing towards the camp. Paige quickly ran out of the way as it pulled in right where she was previously standing.

As it came to a stop, she peered through the glass and her nerves immediately stopped as she saw it was just Glenn. This made her roll her eyes as he stepped out of the vehicle, laughing. Which soon stopped as Amy and Shane started yelling, and mixed with the deafening sound of the car alarm..was quite loud.
