SHORTLY AFTER SHE ANNOUNCED THE EP, Manon did a short walk to Sam and Colby's house. She arrived and knocked, smiling when Colby let her in.
"Hey Sam?"
He looked up from his computer, a smile gracing his features. "Manon."
"Aurie and Hayden are doing their own thing, can I hang here?"
He grinned. "Yeah of course! I'm just finishing editing the video with you, sit down!"
Manon flopped onto his bed, her hands interlocked on her chest. "How do you edit the videos? I see how they edit Outer Banks, but I wanna see this."
"Oh, I put subtitles and pictures in, have a look!"
Manon sat up and crouched as she looked over his shoulder, watching as he inserted some text to where she had grabbed Gracie, demanding what was happening. "Wow, that's weird to see. That's me?0
He chuckled. "I'm not surprised. Are you going to watch it?"
"I might, yeah. All I know is Taylor, Maddy, Hayden and Aurie will. So will Chase, Madison, Drew and Rudy. The latter will force them, trust."
He nodded, moving onto another scene where Colby's voice was barely audible. He inserted what Colby said into text.
Manon sat back down on the bed, legs crossed. "Ya know, Enchanted is the first music I've released about a present feeling. Like the butterflies and stuff."
"Wow," Sam smiled over his shoulder. "Who's it about?"
She raised her fingers to her lips. "Between me, myself and I. And maybe Madison."
A laugh rippled through him, and Manon giggled.
"I can't wait to listen to the EP, Manon."
"You know what? You're my favourite friend. Out of the cast, my roommates...you're the best."
Sam's eyebrows raised. "Whys that?"
Manon grabbed a pillow and used it as a brace. "You're easy to be around. I can talk to you. It's fun. I like talking to you."
He smiled at her over his shoulder. "You're my favourite friend too, Manon."
"Can't believe it's been a month since we met!?"
"It has?"
"Yeah!"
"That is weird. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess."
"Or when you're hanging with your favourite person."
Manon's cheeks went pink when she realised what she said. What she didn't know?
