Manon's eyes were trained on the stars that filled the sky. She and Sam were wrapped up close together sharing his jacket. "Can you believe it, we're here, about to go into 2025."
"Nope," Sam popped the 'p' happily. "But we are."
"We are," she breathed. "Wow."
"Twenty seconds," he told her. "Nineteen."
"Are you going to count us down?"
