For Catnap's first experience outside of the old factory, Skyelle and him watch the sunrise together.

Walking for what seemed forever made my legs turn into jelly. So Catnap has placed me on his back, me snuggling for warmth. Dad was talking with me, asking occasional questions.

And then came the big question. "So, how's your mom? I mean obviously you came here at some point as a kid, right?" I hum. "Yup. Living on the streets got me taken in as a kid."

"About that... mom's been gone for years." If he had a face he'd be having a surprised look on it. "She said that you weren't ever coming back, that's why she married someone else. And he- he." I sob.

Catnap looks up at me. "Star?" I manage out. "I'm fine. He killed her right in front of me." Dad sounds pissed when he says, "What?!" I flinch.

"Sorry, my anger." I sigh. "No, you're good. I just don't like to be yelled at very much." The rest is silent as we get into the elevator lift.

It headed up rockily, but besides that it surprisingly handled the extra weight. My head lays on my cat's. He says softly, "Tired Moonlight?" My nod is subtle.

I didn't mean to fall asleep. But I do anyways. I was still really tired.

It seemed like my daughter was hiding something from me, but it's been years and I haven't met her until now. However I was going to keep myself from demanding answers.

Catnap then says something. "I'm worried about her." His pupils look up at the sleeping girl. He really cared about her, didn't he?

As much as I trusted my loyal follower, I was still going to be making sure that he wouldn't break her heart. And it was still her first relationship ever.

The cat leaves the lift, and I give him instructions on where to go. We approach the doors, and I use my hand to open it.

It was dark outside of the factory, and Catnap looks up at the moon. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Skyelle fixes her hair, yawning. "It really is. I've never seen the real moon."

She laughs. "Wait until the sun rises. It's something that I've always loved to see." Her smile makes me feel better. Her blue eyes look at me. "I'm sorry about mom."

Sorrow was in her eyes. "It's fine. Honestly it's my fault for accepting my old position. If I hadn't, she'd still be with us." Dismissing it, "Then I wouldn't have met Theo."

As much as I felt terrible for leaving her to be alone, I was still glad that she had met someone who cared as much as Theo.

"Look Catnap! The sun's rising!" The giant cat comes up beside me. His eyes look in awe as the sun comes up. I held adoration in my eyes.

He purrs as I pet him. "Moonlight..." He gets out. I blush when he lowers to my height, and kisses me affectionately. I howl out in pleasure when I fall onto the grass.

Time feels frozen as if we're in our own world. The sun glows on my skin, making me appear ethereal. My cat's paws hold me close as we split.

My eyes flutter open. "I love you Catnap." I mess with his charm as he watches me. I inhale the lavender scent, feeling sleepy.

"Star?" I hum, burying my face into his fluffy chest. "Yes?" He nuzzles into my touch, "Do you have family out there, that isn't your father?"

Responding, "Yes actually. Do you remember Ms Harper? She adopted me years ago. I have a sister too." Laying his head in my lap, he replies. "I do actually. She was a nice person. I wondered where she was for that long."

I ask a question. "Then do you want a family with me someday?" Catnap answers, "Is is wrong to say yes?"

"No it's not. I'm just saying that maybe having kids would be what I want for us. Just having a family to take care of." I was feeling embarrassed as I admit it.

It really sounded silly. Like some crazy, impossible dream of mine. I was a human, and he was a giant sentient purple cat that was created in a lab.

But my love for him wasn't wrong like with my old relationship. He cared for me. Made sure I felt safe whenever I slept.

After all, it was still Theo in there. The same person that befriended me when I first came to the orphanage. Someone who stayed by my side through it all.

"You were right. It was worth watching." Right. Kind of gotten lost in my thoughts again. I smile. "Well, I was glad to have shared it with you."

We finally headed inside, me going to my couch to sit down, while petting his head occasionally as we watched television.

Showering hurt as my leg was still scarred over. But I managed it. Besides Catnap probably couldn't get wet while trying to help me.

Soon I was in my pajamas, and get into my bed, patting the spot next to me. His tail flicks as he turns smaller. "Since when could you do that?"

"So I could fit in Playcare's beds easier. Some kids wanted me to be their guardian when they slept." So his role was to protect Playcare then. Kinda sad that was his only purpose besides making red smoke appear.

"Well, can you cuddle me then?" His head was behind mine, and I get comfy again. His scent made me feel calmer. And soon I'm closing my eyes.
