One day after getting home, Skyelle decides to take a walk with her giant cat lover, showing him her neighborhood.

My fingers twitch, feeling fur underneath them. Wait a second. Fur? Opening my eyes, I see myself laying against Catnap.

I snuggle into him. Feeling flushed that he let me sleep on him. His tail moves some as he yawns. Flicking my eyes over, I hear purring coming from him.

"Good morning, Star. How'd you sleep?" I giggle when he kisses my head, making him chuckle. "Mhm, I've been sleeping better with you."

He nuzzles my head some. "Good. You're a nice cuddle partner too." I inhale his lavender scent in, feeling calm at the moment.

Hearing squeaking coming from the floor, I look over the bed's edge, spotting mini Catnap plushies looking up at me, heads tilted curiously at me.

"Aww, you little cuties. C'mere." Catnap watches me giggle when the minis sniff my face. "They really love you, Star." His eyes watch us happily.

Replying with a smile on my face, "And I love them as well." One of them were in my lap as I petted it's head. I squeal when it looks up adorably at me.

Catnap's ears flick when I reach up to pet them. "Sooo. I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk with me today?" My cat sniffs me some, and he says, "Sure, I'd love to."

Walking around the neighborhood with a giant cat following me made all of my neighbors look on, stunned by the sight.

Catnap however ignored them, just listening to me talk. I point at a cafe. "That's where I work. Eventually I'd have to go back to work again. Someone needs to make that money."

His ears flop and I almost miss the sadness in his tone. "Oh." I smile up at him, pausing to tell him, "Buuuuut. Maybe if they allow it; you can wait for me to finish work in the front room."

"I mean, you can shrink yourself.  Obviously. So that might work!" His eyes peer down at me, holding me on such a high level. Like a goddess.

And by God if he wasn't going to worship me as such one.

Finally we make it home, dad sitting at the couch, the giant hand looking out of place. "Hello you two. How'd the walk go?"

I set my stuff down, searching for a possible dinner in the cabinet. "Good. Catnap seemed interested enough to keep up with me." Catnap shrinks some, sitting down.

"That's good." I hum. Walking back into the living room, microwaved dinner in hand. Then I remember something. "Oh! Don't worry, I was still going to make you a body. At least so you can move around easier."

Dad answers, "Oh, take all the time you need. I'm not pushing you to hurry along the process. As I've acquired over the years, making a body isn't an easy thing. Especially with possible errors..."

Taking a bite of my tv dinner, I reply. "Well, this is your daughter after all-" I smile some as he laughs with me. Catnap's eyes held adoration for me.

"And you are very witty, just like me." Cracking a simle at his reply. My blue eyes go back to the television. A new reporter then takes their turn, and my eyes widen at the sight.

Playtime Co. And it was on fire.

"Wait, is that the factory?" Catnap asks. I answer him. "Yeah... But why is it on fire?" Dad speaks up after me. "I don't know..."

The reporter continues, talking about a possible arsonist being involved with the place. I mean, I wouldn't put it past them. The factory did have a pretty messed up past from what I heard.

Even going as far to being as rough on the employees that worked there. However the thought of it being a close call still didn't sit right with me...

Taking the remote, I shut the television off. "That's enough for me. I'm heading to bed. Night dad. See you there Catnap."

Walking away, I trash the container. Taking my toothbrush out, putting some toothpaste on it. I brush my teeth until I was satisfied with my work, putting it back on the counter.

Drying my hands and mouth off, I drink some water from the fridge. Closing the door with my hand, I walk back through the living room, headed for my bedroom.

Clearly it was still fine when we left. That meant someone had done it after we were long gone. But who? And what was their possible association with that place, or heck even with me?

All I knew was that we should be careful. I didn't want to be involved with an arsonist. Sighing as I tuck myself in, feeling like something big was missing from the puzzle.

Was I overthinking this? Or was the paranoia catching up with me? I don't think that I knew anyone that might try to kill me, or any enemies that held any grudges against me.

I sigh and look up at the ceiling. My glow-in-the-dark stars were dimmed in the lighting of the lamp next to me. Shutting it off, their green artificial glowing being the only light in the darkness.

My eyes become heavy and I shut them. The weight that was on my chest disappears as I fall into sleep. Just hoping that it'll all be fine.
