Chapter Six: Field drills.

As the bell signaling the end of another lesson echoed through the classroom, Master Lu wasted no time in transitioning to the next part of the day's curriculum. His authoritative voice cut through the chatter of students packing away their books and notes.

"Alright, everyone, that's enough theory for now. It's time to head outside for our physical training session. Gather your things quickly and meet me in the training field. We have much to cover. "

The students, not wasting time , moved swiftly. The excitement and wanting of physical training were evident, especially after a morning of classroom learning.

Martial arts were a crucial part of their education at Nuoding Academy, and physical training was where they could truly apply what they had learned. As soul masters, learning to use ones martial soul was important as well as well as having a fighting style. To be able to utilize martial arts with a martial soul was integral.

As the students assembled onto the field, Master Lu surveyed them with a critical eye. His stern demeanor conveyed his seriousness.

"Form lines, everyone," He commanded. "We'll start with a series of warm-up exercises to get the blood flowing. Then, we'll move on to specific drills."

The students quickly organized themselves into neat rows. Tang San found himself beside Lixue Ling and Xiao Wu, while Ji Chi stood a few paces away, his calm and composed demeanor unchanged.

The training field was expansive, bordered by tall trees that provided a natural barrier and some shade,Tang San noticed. There were also various training equipment and obstacles which seemed strategically placed across the area, designed for some from of test?

Master Lu led the students through, explaining what was about to take place,Tang San continued to look keenly at the training field, mind racing as he created scenarios and strategies on how to overcome the obstacles.

It began with a rocky hill, with sharp stones imbedded into it then led into the forest were multiple traps were set along with a few hundred years old soul beast. Finally there was the finish point which could only be crossed by thin lines of vines.

After the warm-up, Master Lu went on.  "Today, we'll be working on agility and reflexes. You'll all rotate through different stations on the spiked hill, practicing dodging, speed, and precision in the forest and finally use common sense to make it over to the finish line. Remember, control is key."

The first station involved a dodging drill. Sharp rocks would pop up randomly from the hill they tried to climb, and the students had to avoid being hit by the projectiles launched from various directions. It was a test which required quick reflexes and sharp awareness.

Xiao Wu smirked, with her natural agility and acrobatic skills, she was basically made for such an obstacle course. She moved quickly, her rabbit-like agility making it seem effortless. A stone spike shot from the group just infront of her but She easily did a backflip jumping out of the way.

Xiao Wu glared at the massive object obstructing her path, ears standing straight as she charged at it. Her legs began to shimmer a light pink, performing a roundabout kick that broke the stone into a million pieces.

"Huh,too easy." She said will a smile, tucking her hair back before she resumed running. Her legs just crushing and demolishing rocks like a maniac.

Lixue, meanwhile was having a harder time. Not only was he less agile compared to his sister but with the sharp stones literally popping out from nowhere he could not risk bringing out his wings. 'If my cultivation was higher then maybe I wouldn't have to worry about damaging my wings.'
