Lixue hurried through the bustling corridors of Nuoding Academy,with a sense of urgency propelling him forward. His thoughts raced ahead at the moment that awaited him and Xiao Wu—their first actual class together.

Reaching the designated meeting spot, Lixue spotted Xiao Wu waiting for him, her usual energetic aura which brightened up wherever she stood now was gloom. She greeted him with a frown. "Hey."

"Sorry I'm late," Lixue apologized,as he joined Xiao Wu. "Are you okay though?"

"I'm fine." Xiao Wu nodded steely, not uttering another word. Lixue knew better than to press his sister on the matter. If she did not want to talk about it then he would leave her be. "If you say so. There's a few minutes left before lessons start,do you want to get something to eat first?"

"Sure,why not." Again the cold tone showed through her response. As they prepared to leave for their important endeavor, a group of seniors suddenly closed in around them, their presence dominating with an air of mischief and curiosity.

Drawn by the duo's unique allure and striking beauty, they seemed intent on engaging the younger students in some form of amusement.

Lixue and Wu looked at each other with anxious and annoyed expressions respectfully. This sort of thing really seemed to be happening to them lately and not only was it exhausting but also creepy and weird. They were sure that some of them had even begun to slack them.

"Hey there, beauty siblings," one of the seniors, Lei Feng called out with a smirk, a playful glint in his eyes. "Where do you think you're rushing off to?"

Another senior, Long Zhao,chimed in, eyeing them mischievously. "We thought we'd have a bit of fun with you two before your big day. After all, it's not every day we see such captivating first years around here."

Wu rolled her eyes at the disgusting boy's attempt at flirting. She tried to move past them but they blocked her path. "Hey little rabbit, what's the rush don't you want to talk a little more." Wu was now fuming and despite her composure it was evident that the unexpected encirclement by the six seniors had stirred a sense of unease and irritation within her.

Lixue Ling seeing this spoke up, tying to maintain his usual calm demeanor because he knew that if left up to Xiao Wu then the girl would choose violence. "We appreciate the......um.... interest, but we really have something important to attend to. Maybe some other time?" 

However, the seniors seemed persistent, their teasing and not so playful banter escalating as they attempted to engage the duo in their impromptu amusement, their intentions veering towards more mischief. The atmosphere grew increasingly tense, edging closer to crossing boundaries.

Lixue, feeling the rising tension and discomfort, attempted to maintain his composure, trying to deflect the unwanted attention.

However, when one of the seniors attempted to touch Xiao Wu's face, crossing a line of personal space, something within Lixue snapped. Reacting instinctively, a surge of icy energy emanated from him. In a swift, controlled motion, he seized the boy's hand that reached out, his touch infusing an intense chill.

A frosty aura enveloped the senior's hand, freezing it instantaneously upon contact, a thin layer of ice encasing the appendage. The sudden reaction caught everyone by surprise, a hushed silence falling over the group of six as they witnessed Lixue's unexpected display of power.
