Alhaitham's POV

The air in the Apam Woods is always crisp and refreshing. The slight breeze and quietness it holds makes it one of my favorite places to rest. The fact that there was no human in sight made it the perfect napping spot or reading spot for someone like me.

Right now I am taking a break from my travels. Because of my travels, I am rarely in my office. I prefer travelling, but at the end of the day I have stacks of paper I need to assess. I dislike the paperwork that the Akademiya enforces on scribes like me. It's not like I never do them, I finish them, but I avoid doing them till I have to. I believe that to truly understand works and the world, we must travel to those places and be present to study them. Learning alone is not enough to cultivate intelligence after all.  This includes archiving and studying scriptures and documents.  If I were to be the Grand Scribe, that would be the first thing I would do, but that's too much work for me. Never in a million years would I be the Grand Scribe nor want to take on that position.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a pair of earrings, my lucky charm. I am aware that someone like me, someone who is more factual, carrying a lucky charm is unearthly. Even so, it remains to be a lucky charm for me because it serves as a reminder. There was a time I was being foolish and tried to test out my new vision on a powerful enemy. The enemy's first hit on me catapulted my body all the way to the Sumeru Library, injuring me heavily. The person who helped me, however, took me to the nearest hospital and saved my life. From what Kaveh and the medics told me, the person who saved me did not look native to Sumeru and took me there by book cart. It is likely that I will never meet this person again, but I am forever grateful to this person. If I were able to meet this person again, I would thank them, and never in a million years would I return my good luck charm. The pair of earrings has helped me a lot in my travels, so it is necessary to keep the pair close to me.

(This is the pair of earrings btw, I own these pair too. Feel free to change up what you imagine though)

Y/N's POV

The sky was dark from the morning fog that the Liyue Ports bring in. From my window, I could feel the cool air washing in. Sounds of ships coming in and away from the ports could be heard. Many business owners tend to wake up early, like me, to open their places to early morning workers. Aware of this, I hopped out of bed to begin my day.

I took care of business in my bathroom and changed out of my pajamas. I wore what I always wore, a dress, typical Liyue women's fashion. I walked down stairs into the back kitchen to prepare some ingredients for the cafe. I prepared different tea flavors, the sweetened creams, and brewed some other things. The next thing on my list was making breakfast. I quickly made in omelette in the back kitchen to eat during work. The outer station needed my attention too. I brought out the necessary materials out to the front to be able to make drinks for my customers. I also brought out some other pre-boxed drinks. Sometimes people come by to get water or juices.

Just in time, I finished everything within an hour and opened the shop at 6 am. There was already a line, some as my morning regulars and new faces. I took their orders and made their drinks. Something I always liked about my job was the people I meet daily. I meet many regulars from all over Teyvat who have heard of my shop. On other days, I encounter new faces from all over Teyvat as well.

Chef Mao thanked me, "Thanks Y/N, you make the best dandelion tea."

"You're welcome, have a good day!" I thanked.

Another customer complimented the coffee, "Wow this is great, I have to tell my co-workers now. What did I order again?"

"You ordered plain coffee with a salty and sweet cream cap," I smiled at her compliment, "And thank you, please come again soon."

The customer smiled at me again, "Thank you, I will soon and bring some friends."

After assessing those customers, I took time for myself. I sat at a table in my shop to enjoy my morning. In front of me was the omelette I made and a cup of sweet coffee with almond milk. It was just another day in my cafe: Coffee's Creamer.
