Chapter 15

~1 year later~
Dakota is now 1 and a half and is a handful for Sadie and Bailey. Sadie walks in holding Dakota on her hip as she makes dinner visibly exhausted. Bailey walks in and grabs Dakota. "You ok? You look tired" he says resting his hand around her waist.

"I am tired Dakota has been crazy today" she says stirring a pot of soup. "You need to rest your overworked" Bailey says kissing her softly and patting her head. Sadie sets a bowl of soup in front of bailey and Dakota and sits down with them.

"Thanks baby" bailey says grabbing his spoon. "Dakota you have to take atleast one bite" Sadie says holding the spoon full of soup in front of Dakota. "Nooo!!" Dakota says before jerking away and spilling the whole bowl.
"Oh my gosh" Sadie says putting her hands to her head and sighing.

Bailey gets up and starts cleaning the mess while Sadie bathes Dakota and puts her to bed. Sadie walks down the stairs and Bailey has her a bowl of soup sat on the table. "Here hun eat" Bailey says sitting next to her. "How was your day?" Bailey asks.

"It was alright" Sadie replies. "I have an idea" Bailey says grabbing his MacBook from the counter. "What?" Sadie asks putting her bowl in the sink. "We need a vacation just us" Bailey suggests. "What about Dakota? Who will keep her?"

"Your mom? I know my mom will if yours can't" Bailey replies. "My mom has been busy driving Colin around" Sadie states. "Oh really? What's he been up to" Bailey asks. "He's been trying to get his music out there" Sadie replies.

"Is it working?" Bailey asks. "Not really cause mom can't buy all these plane tickets and gas to get places" Sadie replies covering up in a Camo blanket. "Dang I feel bad for him" Bailey replies. "He'll get there eventually" Sadie replies leaning on baileys shoulder.

Sadie turns pale and looks worried. "You ok? Your really pale" Bailey asks. "Yeah I just got nauseous all the sudden" Sadie replies. "Like just now or has this been happening?" Bailey asks remembering this happening at a recent show of his.

"Like once a day maybe but it's probably nothing" Sadie replies. "That ain't normal you should get checked out" Bailey says. "It's probably nothing I'll be fine" Sadie replies. "Have you thrown up too?" Bailey asks. "Mmhm I have"

"Wait, you could be pregnant Sadie" Bailey says closing his MacBook. "No way we haven't even.. oh wait we have"
Sadie replies. "We gotta get a test right now" Bailey says getting up from his seat. "There aren't any stores open right now Bailey"

"Walmart is I'll be right back" he says walking out the door. Ten minutes later he comes back with the test and hands it to her. "Here go take one" Bailey says walking to the bathroom. Sadie takes the test and lays it on the counter.

"God I'm so nervous" Sadie says pacing the hall. "It's alright I'm here" Bailey says wrapping her in a hug and holding her close. It's been 10 minutes and it's time to look at the test. "Oh my god I can't look" Sadie says looking down.

"Here we can look together it's ok" Bailey says wrapping his hand around her waist. "Im scared to" Sadie replies.
"It's ok baby I'm here" Bailey says rubbing her back. "Ok let's look 3, 2, 1," as they both look at the test Sadie gasps and crys into Baileys shoulder.

"Honey we are having another one!" Bailey excitedly exclaims. "Mmhm we are" Sadie says wiping away her tears and giving Bailey a kiss. "We have to tell our parents!" Sadie says excitedly jumping up and down. "We can get them together for thanksgiving"

~Thanksgiving day~
Sadie is only 2 weeks pregnant and doesn't have a noticeable bump yet. They have their family over for thanksgiving and are about to tell everyone. "Y'all come here we gotta take a family picture" Sadie Says gathering everyone together. "Ok 3, 2, 1, say Sadie's pregnant!" Bailey says to everyone.

"Sadie's pregna- oh my gosh! No way!" Baileys mom says hugging sadie. "Oh honey I'm so happy for you" Sadie's mom says crying and hugging them.

Another week Passes by and Bailey is on a 3 day trip to Texas opening for Morgan Wallen. Sadie has been having stomach pain all day but doesn't think much of it until she calls bailey. "Hey baby how's Texas?" Sadie asks.
"It's great is everyone good there?" Bailey asks.

"Yep everyone's grea- ouch" Sadie says wincing in pain. "Everything ok?" Bailey asks concerned. "Mmhm I'm fin- Oww" Sadie says holding her stomach. "Sadie what's going on? Are you ok?" Bailey asks. "My stomach hurts so bad right now"

"Honey that isn't normal you need to call the doctor, I'm serious" Bailey says with a stern voice. "Ok I'm going" Sadie says hopping in her car trying to drive through the pain. The doctors take her back and do an ultrasound.
Sadie panicking looks at the doctors shocked face.

"What? What's going on?" She asks as she panics. "Im so sorry, you had a miscarriage" the doctor replies. Sadie looking shocked starts breaking down in tears hardly being able to control herself. "Mommy?" Dakota says looking up at Sadie.

Sadie still sobbing calls Bailey. Bailey answers but all he hears is the sobs from Sadie. "What happened? Are you ok?" Bailey asks with a shaky voice. "I- mi- miscarried the baby" Sadie says sobbing. "Oh my.. I'm coming home right now" bailey says slightly shedding a tear.

Baileys pov
Hearing that news on the phone was one of the scariest moments of my life. Hearing my wife sob through the phone made my heart sink. Thinking about how alone she must've felt when she heard that news. She had no one to comfort her and tell her everything was ok. And I truly regret not being there for her in that moment. I knew I had to pack my things and go home to her and Dakota. Morgan was very understanding and felt for us because he got to know Sadie when we went on tour. And having a kid of his own made him more sympathetic. He let me leave and I took the only flight available back to Nashville.

Sadie's pov
My whole world crushed when I heard those words. Without Bailey there was even worse for me because he is the only thing that holds me together. Knowing I still had to be a mother to Dakota I pushed my emotions to the side. It wasn't good for me but I still had to push through for Dakota since Bailey was not here.

Bailey gets home at around 9:00 pm and walks in the door immediately wrapping Sadie in a hug. Sadie breaks down again on baileys shoulder. "This wasn't the plan Bailey" Sadie says sobbing. "I know none of this was supposed to happen" bailey says wiping the tears off of her eyes.

"I'm trying so hard for Dakota and trying to push through but it's not working" Sadie says falling onto the couch. "Honey you don't always have to push through you have feelings and you can let them go" bailey replies holding her close.

After a lot of crying and hugging they went to bed.
