Chapter 18

"Bailey! Dakota! come here!" Sadie shouts from downstairs. "Coming!" Dakota shouts.
"What's up?" Bailey asks. "I've got y'all a present here open it together" Sadie says handing them a box.

When they open the box it's a positive pregnancy test that Sadie has been hiding for a month. "What! No way!" Bailey says wrapping her in a hug. "Your pregnant! Really?" Dakota says hugging her mom. "How long have you been hiding this?" Bailey asks.

"A month, and I know the gender" Sadie says. "What? You haven't even been sick or nothin" Bailey says. "Yep I guess I'm lucky this time" Sadie says with a laugh. "So what is it?" Bailey asks. "A.... Boy" Sadie says with a smile.
"What! That's crazy!" Bailey says.

"Dakota are you happy?" Bailey asks. "Yeah I'm happy" Dakota says. Dakotas phone rings it's Indy.

"Hey I'm at your door right now"

"What? Your early, I'll get my stuff one second"

"Ok I'll wait"

Bailey asks. "Who was that?" "Indy hes waiting for me outside" Dakota replies grabbing the Tennessee hat indy gave her and her purse. "Have fun honey! Tell Morgan I said hey" Sadie says.

Dakota runs to Morgan's ford F1-50 and hops in the back she had to sit in the middle of Rayman and Indy.
"Hey miss Dakota how are ya?" Morgan asks. "Good how are you?" She asks. "Not to bad how's your dad?"
"He's good"

"I see you wore the hat" Indy says with a laugh. "Yeah I said I would since your buying me snacks" Dakota replies.
"You ain't even wearin the shirt I gave you!" Rayman says. "Sorry ray, I'll wear it for the next game" Dakota says as they pull up to the ball field.

Both the boys hop out and run to the field and Dakota sits with Morgan. "You didn't have to wear that hat" Morgan says with a laugh. "Nah it's cool I like it" Dakota says. "Didn't know you liked baseball" Morgan says. "Oh cmon I'm from Tennessee how could I not like baseball?"

Indy runs over and hands Dakota 10 bucks. "A deals a deal concession stand is over there" "oh shoot thanks indy"
Dakota says patting his back as he runs out to the field. She goes and gets herself popcorn and a Dr Pepper and she bought Morgan some sunflower seeds.

"Here ya go" Dakota says handing Morgan the sunflower seeds. "Oh thanks you didn't have to get me somthin"
Morgan says. "It's your sons money so it doesn't matter" Dakota says laughing. Morgan walks off to go say hey to some friends and Indy's about to bat.

Before he hits he writes Dakotas initials in the sand and gets ready. He hits it over the fence winning the game for there team. Dakota cheers and stands up. Indy runs over and Rayman is talking with the coach. "That was Great indy! You keep hittin em like that and you could go pro!" Dakota says.

"Thanks Dakota" Indy says sitting on the bleachers next to her. "Where's Rayman?" Dakota asks. "He's talkin with coach his grades have to come up for him to stay on the team" Indy says. "But he can't play for a month anyways?" Dakota says.

"Yeah he can't but he still sits in the dugout with everyone" Indy says. "Dang poor ray here he comes" Dakota says.
Rayman walks up with his head down and slams his glove on the ground. "What happened?" Indy asks. "I'm off the team.." Rayman says walking away.

"Ray wait!" Dakota says running up behind him and giving him a hug. "This season was my only shot at making it and now I'm off the team" Rayman says slightly tearing up on Dakotas shoulder. "Dude all you have to do is get your grades up me and Dakota can help you" Indy says patting him on the back.

"Y'all gon walk home or catch your ride!" Morgan yells from the truck. "Shoot let's go" Dakota says walking to the truck. "What's wrong with him?" Morgan asks indy and Dakota. "Coach said he can't play till he gets his grades up" Indy replies.
