Chapter 22

About a month later indy and Dakota started dating and he is taking her on their first real date. Indy puts on a pair of khaki pants and a button up shirt along with his hooey hat. Dakota putting on one of her sundresses and curling her hair.

Indy pulls up in his Chevy Silverado and knocks on the door to witch Bailey answers. "Hey buddy how ya doin?"
Bailey asks. "Good, you?" Indy replies nervously. "Pretty well, keep her safe alright?" Bailey says. "Will do" Indy replies.

Dakota walks to the door and waves to her dad. "You look beautiful" Indy says spinning her around. "Thanks, you look nice" Dakota replies. "So the date I have planned isn't really a dinner date" Indy says. "That's fine" Dakota replies hopping in the truck.

"Where are you taking us?" Dakota asks as they drive down a dirt road. "Just trust me you'll like it" Indy says as they drive. They end up at a dock on the river. "Wow this is beautiful!" Dakota says hopping out of the truck.
"See I told you you'd like it" Indy says opening the tailgate of his truck.

"Dang you brought food?" Dakota says as Indy grabs a picnic basket. "What's a date without food?" Indy says grabbing his sandwich and eating it. "Look at the sunset!" Dakota says pointing at the sky. "It's great baby" Indy says.

"Baby? Thats new" Dakota says scooting closer to him. "What should I call you then?" Indy asks. "There's nothing wrong with it you just haven't called me that before" Dakota replies. "I have a game Tomorrow hopefully your comin" Indy says.

"Of course I'm coming" Dakota replies laying her head on his shoulder. Indy attempts to hide his smile as he holds her close. "I love you" Dakota says cuddling in his arms. "I love you too" Indy replies. "We better head back home"
Indy says. "Aww man" Dakota says hopping off the tailgate.

As they are driving Indy puts his hand on her thigh witch makes her jump. "You ok?" Indy asks taking his hand off of her. "Yeah you just caught me off guard" Dakota replies grabbing his hand and putting it back on her thigh. He smiles looking at her.

"Bye I'll cya tomorrow" Dakota says as she hops out and walks inside. "I love you!" Indy yells from the truck as he drives away. "So how'd your date go?" Bailey asks. "Good we went to the river" Dakota replies. "What'd you do at the river?" Bailey asks.

"Ate sandwiches and watched the sunset" Dakota replies. "Sounds like fun" Bailey replies. "Mmhm I'm going to bed cause I have an early practice in the morning" Dakota says walking to her room.

It's the next day and Dakota is at softball practice. She is on first base so she runs over and gets ready to catch the ball. Right when her other teammate Sophie hits the ball it comes right for Dakota before she could move the ball hit her straight in the eye causing her to fall.

Her coach runs over and gets her up and tells her to go home. Her eye swelled and bruised but other than that she was fine. She calls indy to ask about his game Tonight in response he says he's on his way to get her. She throws on one of Indy's hoodies and a pair of athletic shorts before going out to Indy's truck.

"Hey baby! Hop in" Indy says waiting in the truck. "I'm comin im comin" Dakota says jumping into the passenger seat. "Oh my lord what happened to you?" Indy says looking at her black eye. "I got hit with a softball" Dakota replies.

"Dang softballs ain't very soft then" Indy says with a laugh as they pull into the field. "Can i sit in the dugout? Or is that not aloud" Dakota asks. "Usually it isn't aloud but I can ask" Indy replies. "Ok" Dakota replies as they hop out of the truck and walk to the field.

Gunner sees them walking up and shakes his head. "Hey Indy I'm batting today" Gunner says. "Aye there ya go!" Indy replies. "Hey Dakota you here to watch?" Gunner asks Indy giving him the stink eye. "Yeah I am" Dakota replies.

"You look nice" Gunner says to Dakota. "Thanks" Dakota replies dryly. "Dude we Are together" Indy says grabbing her hand. "Oh damn I look dumb now" Gunner says walking off. "He's walking on thin ice" Indy says laughing.

Years later they ended up marrying eachother and having kids. As for Bailey ans Sadie Bailey retired from music and moved to Knoxville with Sadie. As for their son Blake he found a girl from TN and they ended up together as well.
