Aven POV
I knew that Alice was in front of me I just didn't want to look up at Zach. Alice was yelling at me. I finally looked up at her to see she has tears streaming down her face.
I heard my chains get unlocked so tried to run to her, but I got pulled back. I looked back to see Zach smiling at me, with the chains in his hands. I looked back at Alice to see pleading eyes staring at me.
I just looked at the floor. Zach went up me. I didn't look up, he grabbed my chin and forced me to look up at him. He the whispered into my ear, "I've been waiting a long time to do this." A smile was starting to form on his face while he was talking.
I looked at him, no expression. "Why" I asked him. He pushed me on my knees and started laughing. "Why, you ask." He says. "Because you killed my entire family on your little killing spree." I just looked away from him, remembering all the innocent life's I've killed, I wouldn't be here if I had not killed became this.
"It's time for payback." He tells me. I look up to him, back to Alice, gave her a sympathetic smile, then back to him again, losing my small smile, I won't show emotion.
He looks at me, "There is no use for you now." He tells me, grabbing the chains. He pulls my wrist up and I wince. He smiled and his fingers turned into claws, one of them caressing my cheek. I groan as the gold dug into my skin slightly.
He takes his claws off my cheek and turns his claws back into fingers. He shoves me to the ground so I'm on my back. He leans close to me and I grab him by the neck, throwing him against a wall.
Zach growled and turned into a werewolf. I glared at him and stand up, despite the fact I'm in pain. Fire glows at my finger tips and I just watch him.
He slowly walks around, not getting any closer. After a minute he jumps at me, I hold out my hands and the fire grows, he yelps and moves back. I smirk as he turns back to human, breathing heavily.
I go up to him, "I'm done with your shit Zach." I spit his name as if it's poison. He's looking at the ground. I looks at him and for a second, I swear I see gold. I was about to move him but he sliced my ankle.
I curse loudly and fall to the ground. He stares at me and I'm trying to ignore the pain in my ankle but it's unbearable. I tried to stand up but wince. He stood up over me and whispered in my ear "Game over." He looks at me, "One down, one to go."
I looked up to him, "What do you mean?" He looked at me, his eyes locked on mine, "Oh, it's just your friend Rose, was just, killed." He told me with no emotion. I looked at him, tears threatening my eyes, "You didn't. . ." I started, but he cut me off, "Oh, no I didn't, but, this one girl, ah, what's her name? Raven? I think it was?"
My eyes widened and a tear escaped. I meant to protest but I couldn't, I haven't heard that name in years.
I just look away, trying not to cry.
He pulled back a golden, newly sharpened, dagger. I was ignoring Alice's scream. He put the dagger at my heart, pushing me back, "This is going to be easy." A smug look slowly creeps on his face.He was going to push it in, slowly, and that's what he did. I felt it burn my skin, then it went into my skin, just almost an inch. Then we heard a door open. He took the knife out and we started at the shadows at the door.
