Alice POV
I wake up to see that Aven and Rose are still asleep. I went outside so I won't wake them up and to see if they were hiding anything. It was freezing out and I ended up going back in to grab a jacket.
I go back out and walk into the woods when I hear a stick crack behind me. I turn around to see nothing. I just shrugged it off. I hear another stick crack behind me again and I quickly turn my head back around to see Aven. I jumped, not knowing she was there before. She had a disapproving look on her face.
"Where are you going?" She asked with a disapproving tone in her voice. "I. . .uh. . .was. . .you. . ."I couldn't think of a lie. She had one eyebrow raised. "That's what I thought. C'mon your coming with me." She grabbed my wrist and started pulled me back to the camper. I pulled my wrist back.
"What's wrong with you, you've been acting weird since I last saw you, and Rose, you e been more clingy to her." She stared at me wide eyed.
"Uh. . ."She started. "Can't we talk about this later?" She asked. "No, I've been waiting long enough." I told her while looking down at her. "Fine. The truth, is, me and Rose, are, are...." She was stuttering. "You and Rose are... what?" I asked. "Are.....demons.." I laugh at her. "Nice joke, now tell me the truth." I cross my arms. She sighs. "I am telling the truth." She tells me. Im done with all her lies, I scoff, "If you won't tell me the truth then have fun walking home." I tell her,
Aven shakes her head and all of a sudden her eyes turn into a firey red, fire came out of her fingertips, with her hair having fire flowing down her back. I blink and she turns back to normal. I stare at her with big, scared eyes and she chuckles.
"Did I scare you from the truth?" She tells me, "Why did you keep this secret from me." I whispered. "You're in danger." She tells me, not answering my question. I was backing up until I almost fell into a bush.
She was at my side in a second and caught me. "Please, don't be scared." She whispered. "How can I not be." I said while getting up and out of her grasp. I heard some rustling in the bushes. Me and Aven look at the bushes to see Rose coming out and looking at both of us.
Rose looked at me as I was shaking out of terror slightly and she looked at Aven with furrowed eyebrows and Aven looked back
at Rose. "You didn't..." Rose started. "I did." Aven responded, slightly terrified. Rose's eyes went black and the wind picked up. I pulled the jacket closer as it got colder. Aven backed away and I could've swore I saw something appear behind her as Aven tripped.Aven continued to back up and was halfway to the tree, Rose picked her up and tossed her to the tree. She also locked her on the tree with her arm by Aven's throat. "Im sorry okay!" Aven said. "We promised not to tell her!" She yelled.
"I know, but..." Aven started but got cut off. "But nothing! She wasn't suppose to find out!" She pushed her arm into Avens neck. I didn't know what to do as I saw Aven trying to choke out words and apologies.
I had to do something. "Stop!" I yelled. They both looked at me. "What, I'm in the middle of strangling Aven here!" She yelled.
"Don't kill her!" I yell. Rose hesitated then dropped Aven and went back to normal. Aven dropped down coughing and holding her neck, going back to normal as well. Rose walked up to me. "Fine." She whispered. "But, we need to talk when big mouth over there is asleep." I looked at Rose and nodded my head.Aven came. "What are you guys talking about?" She said with a bit of annoyance in her voice. "Nothing." Rose said as if she was the most innocent person in the world. Aven hummed an okay. We walked back.
We finally got to the camper. "Hey um, so you still want to, share a bed." Aven asked me hesitantly. "Uh..." I didn't know how to respond. Before I could finish she added. "I won't kill you if you're scared of that." "Are you sure you won't mind, you know, sharing a bed with, me?" I asked. "Why would I?" She told me. "You avoided it the first night." I told her.
Aven chuckled. "Yeah, I know, it was just weird seeing you after two years." I shrug. "Alright then."
That night I shared a bed with Aven and Rose slept on the top bunk. It was hard to sleep with a demon sleeping next to me. After about an hour, sleep finally endured me.
