[The scene cuts to Mera in her bedroom at the Forbes house, her hair half up and down as she sits on her bed reading a book. She takes a sip of her bottle before setting it on the table next to her. Mera turns a page.]
Klaus raised an eyebrow, while Rebekah furrowed her eyebrows. Is that what women wear in the 21st Century?
[Just then her bedroom door creaked and Caroline peeped her head through, Mera looked at her before tilting her head. Caroline tilted her head as well. Mera smiled before she gestured for Caroline to sit next to her.]
Caroline: "Tell me a story. You read lots of books," [Caroline was lying on the bed, her head on her bare stomach as Mera caressed her hair.]
Mera: "Which story do you want?"
Caroline: "The story of your birth." [Mera raised an eyebrow and tilted her head while smiling,]
Mera: "Ok," [She laughed before leaning her head on the headboard.] "Jules Verne once wrote, "Put two ships in the open sea without wind or tide, they will come together." "
[The scene cuts to a man rushing outside during a storm. He looked towards the shore and saw a younger version of Atlanta on the seashore. He looked at her and found a cut on the right side of her torso which was holding a trident. He carried her up.]
Mera: "That's how my birth parents met. Like two ships destined for each other,"
Mera smiled at the story before looking down at Coraline. While Aisha pursed her lips, she knew the story of Atlanna, she fled a marriage. Orm just narrowed his eyes at his mother.
[The scene cuts to the man inside and laying the woman on his couch as the TV plays on. The power then gets cut out. The woman starts to cough out water before looking back up and finds the man.]
???: "It's ok, it's ok." [As soon as she made eye contact with him, he smiled. The woman's eyes widened before she got her trident and choked him on the wall.]
Atlanna cringed, while Mera and Caroline shared a look. Barry's eyebrows shot up before looking at a smiling Mera. Klaus just blinked a couple of times. Elena and Bonnie cringed while Damon and Stefan exchanged another look of confusion.
???: "Easy, easy- You weren't breathing.-" [Just then the lights turned back on. She looked at the huge television where a commercial was playing. She dropped the man aimed her trident towards the TV and destroyed it. She stood up as the man looked back at her. She touched her cut on the right torso, before stumbling. The man slowly approached her.]
Mera: "They were from different worlds.-" [Atlanta fell and the man caught her.] "But life, like the sea has a way of bringing people together." [The camera slowly panned around and it was morning. Atlanta was sound asleep on the couch, she opened her eyes and got up, looking around the place. She got her blanket off of her and found herself completely bandaged up. She looked back and touched the pillow with fascination. She then found a fish tank by the sofa. She caught a fish before sipping on it]
