[The scene cuts to Mera walking, or swimming, into her throne room where her mother was talking to some staff.]

Mera: "Mom!" [Atlanna turned and smiled at the sight of Mera,]

Atlanna: "Mera!" [The two swam and crashed into a hug, before parting] "There's my girl, are you ready for the new year?"

Mera: "You know I am," [Atlanna smiled]

Atlanna: "How are King Oritel and Queen Marian?"

Mera: "They've been doing great, they've been asking to see you though," [Atlanna raised an eyebrow]

Atlanna: "I know, they've sent me several letters,"

Mera: "Well are you gonna go see them?"

Atlanna: "Who's going to take care of the kingdom?" [Mera rolled her eyebrows,]

Mera: "In the royal scriptures, they state, a Queen or a-"

Atlanna: "-Or a Former Queen can take a leave for two weeks, yes, darling I know,"

Mera: "Then why won't you go?"

Atlanna: "Sweetheart-" [The two started to swim through the throne room,] "Ever since you sat on the throne, the new changes to Atlantis are still..."

Mera raised an eyebrow, someone like her?

Mera: "The people of Atlantis are adjusting to the new change?"

Atlanna:" Yes, they never expected someone from the land to become Queen," [Mera nodded before looking back at her hands,]

Mera: "Ok," [She looked back up at her mother,] "I understand," [Atlanna smiled at her before pushing back a strand of hair]
