First woke up with a gasp, the horrifying scene still vividly replaying in his mind. His body jerked up, but the lingering effects of the drug made every movement feel sluggish and heavy. He quickly realized he was in his brother Tay's room. The memory of Khaotung's suffering haunted him, making his heart race with fear and desperation.
"Khaotung!" he called out, his voice strained with terror as he struggled to sit up.
"Relax, the effects of the drug are still wearing off. I don't know what heavy shit they injected you with," Tay said, his tone a mix of concern and frustration.
"What the hell am I doing here? Where's Khaotung?" First demanded, his eyes wild with panic.
"I had to beat Dan to tell me the location, and I found you unconscious by yourself," Tay explained, trying to keep his voice calm.
"Khaotung, where is he?" First repeated, his voice rising in urgency.
"We don't know," Tay admitted reluctantly.
"What does that mean?" First's voice was almost a shout now, filled with a mixture of fear and anger.
"When we rescued you, Khaotung wasn't there," Tay said, his face grim.
"Stop lying and tell me where he is!" First yelled, his body trembling with a mixture of rage and dread. "And where are our men? They should know!"
"Father's men brought you here and left Khaotung behind. But when I sent my men, he was gone," Tay said, his voice steady but filled with underlying tension.
"No, it can't be. He wasn't in shape to move an inch," First said, fear creeping into his voice. The thought of Khaotung being gone was unbearable, a dark possibility his mind refused to accept.
"Khaotung... Is he.. " First's voice broke with vulnerability, "is he still alive?", the very idea of Khaotung being gone too painful to bear.
"We don't know, First. It was all David and Father," Tay replied, his expression grave.
The mention of his father made First's blood boil with rage. This was all because of him and David. They would pay for what they had done to Khaotung.
"David," First growled through gritted teeth, his hands clenching into fists, veins bulging as he trembled with fury. Tay looked at him but kept his head down, unsure of where to start.
"David is nowhere to be found," Tay said, his eyes also filled with rage. "He ran away before we could rescue you."
First's rage intensified. The thought of David escaping after causing so much pain was unbearable.
"I need to see Father. And where is Dan?" First spoke with determination, his eyes burning with a deadly resolve. He would take down his enemies one by one, starting with Dan.
Tay could see the fury in First's eyes, a fire that wouldn't be extinguished until justice was served. "We'll find them, First. And we'll make them pay," Tay said, his voice firm with resolve.
First nodded, his mind focused on one thing: saving Khaotung and exacting revenge on those who had caused them so much pain. His heart ached with the thought of Khaotung suffering alone, but he knew he couldn't give in to despair. He had to be strong, for both of them. As he stood up, his body still weak, he felt a surge of determination. This wasn't over. Not by a long shot.
