Chapter One

Graduation Day...

The girls morning started by her twin sister Rory shaking her till she woke up.

"Layla get up we are going to be late, do you want to be late to our own graduation?

"Fine fine im up stop yelling we won't be late bye bye Rory!"When Rory walked out she got up out of bed and stared at her dress and prepared herself to walk across the stage and get her diploma,then upcoming august she would be walking the ivory walls of Yale. While she went to get ready she sat at her desk looking in the mirror listening to music,wondering who was going to be there in the crowd cheering them on.

About an hour later both girls walked out of their rooms and ran straight to each other and hugged.

"I can't believe we are graduating!" rory said

"I know I'm scared but excited! Did you finish your speech?"

"Yep i'm nervous for all those people to hear me speak,yours is going to be so good!"

"I'm sure yours will be too"

After the girls hugged and talked their mom walked in and started to tear up,she walked over to them and kissed each one of them on the head.

"My sweet girls, I can't believe you two are my little graduates!"

"Neither can we, don't cry mom this is a good thing!"

Rory said

"yea mom this is a good thing!"(layla)

"Alright then let's go the valedictorians can't be late"

Their mom hugged them then dragged them out to the car.All walked out smiling and laughing.

As the twins were standing in the front of the line waiting to be called for their speeches.

Headmaster Charles called" Layla Gilmore-Hayden and Rory Gilmore as our Valedictorian and salutatorian and now they will give their speeches,First our valedictorian Layla!".

"I want to thank all of my peers and how they have helped me through my years here at Chilton, i also want to thank my sister who has never left my side.To wrap up my thank yous,I want to thank my Mom and grandparents! Without them I wouldn't be standing here on this stage speaking to all of you! Being valedictorian has been my dream since I was a little girl and here I am today achieving my dreams. I hope all I have learned at chilton can follow me for years to come.I want to thank all of my teachers and friends for their support."she then finished her speech and walked to her chair.While Rory went to walk up as she was introduced layla just sat in her seat smiling and couldn't believe they had gotten here.

Rory then started her speech,"...i have cherished my moments spent here at Chilton..",as rory continued to go on layla looked out into the crowd to see Logan Huntzberger standing in the back looking right at her,his parents with her grandparents.They looked right at each other,she waved at him and he smiled in return.Rory ended her speech,"...and with that i want to finally thank my sister layla for i wouldn't be here without her.".Shortly after their speeches they were being called up to grab their diplomas.As Rory and Layla grabbed their diploma all they saw was their mom jump up and cry happy tears of her two daughters graduating and going off to college.

The girls stepped off the stage and went straight to their family,Layla kept an eye out for Logan.

First up was Luke and Mom,Lorelai started "you girls have no idea how proud i am of you,although I will be sad to see you go off to college i'm proud of you for making yale! your speeches made cold hearted Luke cry.Rory said "you old softie".

Then the girls walked off to see their grandparents. The first person to hug Layla was Richard,one of her favorite people in the world.

"I'm so proud of you and well we both are,I can't wait for you two to be bulldogs come this school year!" Then Emily spoke,"good job on being the valedictorians. I'm proud.".That was one of the first times the girls have ever heard their grandma say she was proud of them.

Layla said"thank you guys we are excited to be bulldogs too,and again thank you for paying for tuition."

They all hugged and walked over to their friends when all the sudden layla had arms wrapped around her back grabbing her. She wiggled and turned around and yelled "Dean!"she hugged him really really tight. She then introduced her friends to Dean and him to her friends.She was then called over by her grandma.

"Dean, I've got to head over there. I'll be right back, I promise". She kissed him on the cheek then walked away and waved.

As she got to her grandparents she saw the Huntzbergers,Shira and Mitchum,as she walked over to them Shira came running up and hugged her,then Mitchum shook her hand and said "Congrats Layla it has been a pleasure to watch you grow up.", Shira nodded along with him.

Then added "why don't you go find Logan he's been looking all over for you."As she went to walk off Shira came to her and assked her not to tell Logan we said anyting then laughed it off a bit.

"Sure thing!" Then she walked off to find him.
