PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Safet Demir is a humble man and a gentle soul. His intentions are pure and he wants nothing more than to help people. He is dedicated to doing his job and pleasing his loved ones. Due to being abused, however, he is extremely insecure and often frightened around older women. He tip-toes around his statements and is very awkward. He fumbles a lot with his speech. He sometimes has random bursts of energy and can be very rebellious, which is sometimes helpful, but it is usually inconvenient for himself and everyone involved. He has very bad attachment and abandonment issues, which lead to many of his insecurities. However, he is a pacifist and always believes in peace before violence.
CHARACTER ARC: Safet Demir was born in Turkey to the royal family, making him the crown prince. He was also an only child. From a young age, he was taught to be an adult and was never given the opportunity to be a kid. His parents never gave him any affection. His mother was verbally and physically abusive, and his father always looked the other way. Despite being treated like this, he never held any resentment toward his parents, though he often acted out as a form of rebellion and as a coping mechanism. When he was sixteen years old, his mother died from cancer, and he was secretly relieved. After she died, his father felt guilty and apologized for not doing more to stop the abuse. Safet forgave his father and moved on. As he grew older, he became lonely and decided that he wanted a wife. He met the love of his life by chance. He had been in the market to find some medicine for his father when he saw a young woman struggling to pay for some medicine that she was getting for her own father. He bought the medicine for her and refused to let her pay him back. Eventually, he learned that her name was Layla El-Fayez. After bumping into her several more times and getting to know her more, he went to ask for her hand in marriage. She and her father eventually accepted, and he married her.
